My husband of 35 years is always my biggest support, and is having more trouble with all of this as his mother died from breast cancer 20 yrs. ago. I guess that's my fear too, is the "cancer". Nasty word, isn't it? Any how, I'm sure I will sleep tommorrow after I know about those Nodes, and find out more about the follow-up treatments. Got a little worried about the drains so I bought a couple button front shirts...thanks for the suggestion.
Will probly try to stay extra busy today, can more tomatoes? have the grands over for a swim....busy, busy, busy.
Blessings,
Karen

Hi Karen. I want to wish you good luck tomorrow with your surgery. I will pray that your nodes will be "clean". Post when you feel like it and let us know how you are doing.
Hugs, Leeza
Wanted to wish you luck with your surgery tomorrow. I too had a double mastectomy and nodes were removed at the same time. I know you will do just fine. Let us know how it turns out. If you are worried about sleep, maybe call you dr and ask for something to help you. Take care of yourself.

We'll all be thinking of you tomorrow and looking forward to you coming home... The reference to National Geographic gave me a huge, much needed, laugh! Last time I was at Toronto airport indulging in a spot of 'People-Watching' (my favourite passtime lol) You should have seen the state of some of the women coming out of baggage.. Hell some of them looked like baggage! Old bats with huge dangly breasts below their knees, no bra and a see through(ish) t shirt.......Argghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
It made me feel good.. Aren't I wicked?
Anyway, Huge hugs and good luck.. we'll see you soon! Jxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Karen, many of us will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping all goes well for you. Here's my famous advice....ask for lots of ice-cream!! When your tired of eating it, use the little containers as ice packs!
Tasha....you are a riot!! I love to people watch too! Makes me feel so normal. ♥ Pammy0 -

Karen .. Welcome and thanks for the good laugh !!
Your referenced to 'women' seen in National Geographic is spot on. LOL .. my girls are graviting towards my feet. hehehehehehehe I have suggested light weight sports bra's .. fruit of the loom to my daughter. She is a size 5, & fully portioned up stairs. she is now wearing a light verison of a sports bra to bed.
Your husband is afraid of the unknown, like you said .."cancer" is an ugly word that turns your world upside down. I am sure he will be your 'ROCK' of support.
Stay exra busy and tried and get some rest.
Thank you for sharing and keep us posted.
Prayers and hugs ..
