LUMINARY PARTY

I spent most of last night at a luminary party held my good friends daughter. It was fun and a tad emotional. We made luminaries for sisters, mom's and friends. We remembered good times, shared photo's of our loved ones and we laughed at some great memories. I have posted several photo's in the expressions gallery if you would like to see them.

    RE, what a wonderful way to spend an evening, with friends and family making luminaries to remember the ones that have and are fighting cancer. I saw your pics on your expressions page. Looks like fun was had by all. When I saw the luminaries at my first Relay For Life, it took my breath away and tears started falling. It is a very emotional experience. Thanks RE for sharing this with us!

    Luminary
    Luminary means light.
    The bags are decorated with pictures, names etc and then a candle is put in the bags so they light up at night. It is just like the bags that some put out form Santa to find his way to their house.

    This is a memory bag that you make for loved ones who have cancer or had cancer.

    Thank you. That was a really special thing to do for those who are fighting or have fought to battle cancer.

    I am glad you had fun even though it tugs at the heart.

    I felt the same way
    Jeanne,
    I felt the same way at my first relay. Walking the track and looking at all of them and reading them. And as I walked I discovered two that were done for me by friends. They had my picture on them and everything. I was already filled with tears but at that point, it was a dang waterfall.
    And Re what an angel you are. We are blessed to know you.

    The relay is in a neighboring town and I will not be able to attend because a very good friend of mine is getting married. I will get photo's to post though because one of my friends will be sending me pics.

    That new picture of Ava is soooooooooooooo darling! I just want to kiss and blow on that tummy! She is growing so much and is just too adorable. Need a babysitter?

    Jeanne little Ava LOVES bath time. We have decided that I am going to set up my video camera on my tripod and let it run during her next bath time, it should be quite cute since she laughs through the whole thing.

    It seems either babies love bath time or hate it. Go figure! OMG, that will be so darling to have a video of Ava laughing and enjoying her bath. Hmmmm, that would be a great wedding gift to her future hubby, wouldn't it? lol Ok, I am thinking wayyyyyyyyyy ahead. At least I am thinking, that is hard for me sometimes. Rad brain has set in!
