I'm still in the process of "being there...doing that".. but wanted to welcome you to the boards, though I am sorry for the reason you have had to join us, you will find a wealth of information and support here... as well as friendship, and laughter... I had a lumpectomy which turned into a partial mastectomy... and am still in some left over testing processes before getting my final treatment plan... Sounds like it has been a whirlwind for you, with everything happening so fast.. I wish you the best.. please let us know how your doing, and post anytime you want... about whatever you want.. that is what we are here for!

Well yeah~ BC is a bump in your road for sure! Just when we think we have a game plan, BAM!! I welcome you to the club you never wanted to join, but know this: This club has the greatest, most supportive, humourous, honest, insightful group of mostly women you will likely ever come to know!

We will help you manuever your way through the ins and outs of BC~ just ask!

Even though we may not have the exact same diagnosis and treatment options doesn't mean we aren't going through similar experiences. You will find many Kindred Spirits !

    My 'time' has been fairly
My 'time' has been fairly quick too (I think anyway). Appt with PA, she sent me for mammagram that afternoon (Aug 6). Wound up having a mammagram, sonogram and biopsy then and there. Next morn (7th) radiologist called and said that biopsies both came back positive. Had appt with surgeon on Mon. (10). He ordered bone scan (12) and to oncologists. VA goofed with which Dr. they approved so I saw the rad. Dr on Tues. (18) and then back the next day (19) to see the chemo Dr. Fri (21) I had a PET Scan, Mon. (24) have an EKG, Tues. (25) am having the port put in and start chemo on Wed. (27). The plan now is for surgery after this round of Chemo followed by more Chemo and then Rad.

So - I can't give any "words of wisdom" as I don't have any yet. Remember though that tomorrow is another day and each one is precious.

    Hello and welcome
I just wamted to welcome you also, hope your doing ookay. I only had a lumpectomy that was followed by a partial mastsectomy, still awaiting test results and treatment plans. Seems like you moving right along, that 's good, as everyone can tell you that the wasiting is the hardest part.

How much do you know about your BC, have they told you if you'll need chemo or radiation yet? Glad to hear it was found early, keep in touch, and let us know how you're doing. we're all here for each other,

    Take Care and God Bless,

    I wanted to say welcome,
I wanted to say welcome, also. Mine dx was a whirlwind, also. Not much waiting at all.
I had the lumpectomy & started rads 15 days later. I am almost halfway done with rads now.

You have found a new circle of supportive friends--check in with us often.

I hope that you will be able to help with your 2 new twin grandsons when they come.

Hugs & prayers sent your way...

    Hi,
    Welcome! Once you meet

    Hi,

Welcome! Once you meet with your surgeon, you will develop more of a game plan and more information about your cancer. I would suggest that you write down every question that pops into your head and take this list with you for your appt. I would also recommend that you take someone with you to every appt. Two memories are always better than one when you are being given so much information at once. It sounds like you've made you decision about surgery and that is always a load off the mind. You sound like a strong woman and a fighter. What wonderful motivation you have to recoup. quickly--TWINS!!

Please let us know how things are going. We will be here for you 24/7. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

    Love and gentle hugs,

    Donna

Hey lszk4kids! I'd like to welcome you to the site too. You seem to have it all together, unlike some of us. ( ok, me lol ) Glad you haven't been down. A positive attitude is needed to fight the beast!
