And good luck. Keep us posted. Let us know how everything went! ♥ Pammy
I got a call from Dr. office yesterday afternoon and was told to come there after the port was put in but a bit later I got a call back (while sitting at a softball game son was playing in) and was told that there was a problem with scheduling the 'lesson' before Chemo on Tuesday so be there on Wed. for it at 1 and will start Chemo at 2:30. She told me too that the Her2 results had just come in and it was negative.
Doing Chemo before surgery as this is IBC. So the plan as of now is Chemo, surgery, chemo, radiation.
Thanks for all your support and thoughts.

Hi Susan...today is my first day to post on any site and I wanted to let you know that I too had my port put in and then chemo right away. Everything went fine. I was a little nervous about both on the same day...but nothing to it. The port does make life a little easier...I've had mine in since May and can't feel it at all!!
I just finished 3 months of Taxol w/ Herceptin and have finished 3 treatments of FEC w/ herceptin. I have one more left and then surgery on Oct 6th. Don't be scared about it...just think of it as your healing juice. I never called my "Red Devil" chemo by that name...to me it was my super Cosmo!!! Laugh everyday and be thankful that we have such great medicines that save our lives!!!
Peace and Love

Hi Laura, It seems like you are getting the same protocol as my mom, she is 62 and was recently diagnosed with Stage 3C Breast Cancer. She started last Tuesday with weekly Herceptin and Taxol and she will have it for 12 weeks, followed by another 12 weeks of Weekly Herceptin and FEC 75 every 3 weeks.
I would like to know what were the side effects of your 12 weeks of Herceptin/taxol!
Thank you!
