Still in the hospital, they removed his port because it was infected, so they are trying to see what kind of bacterial infection he has, They also had to do another Ct of the lungs they are not sure what they spots are it could be the cancer, infection or a touch of pnemunion so we have to wait and seem not sure when he is coming home, it was a long day, I got there about 630 I just wonder what happens to patients who do not have family or a love one to be with them to make sure everything is done, On the oncology floor the nurses are familiar with trachea training so I have to take care of his trachea and because he is peg tube I feed him through out the day, and I had to change his bed a couple times a day because he was sweating his fever, so it just makes you think what happens to those patients, I want to say thank you for everyone nice comments, this site has been a relief for me, I can actually talk with people who really understand what you are going through,

Sorry to hear
So sorry you two are in hospital. I know too well of the shear exhaustion you must be feeling. I had to give my husband a lot of his care also during hospital stays. Changing ileostomy bag,e.t.c.. I have been meaning to reply to your other postings the last couple of days, I get on the colorectal board alot and don't get back here as soon as I sometimes plan. Keep us posted as much as you can. Will look forward to your post that all is o.k. and your back home.
Take good care, Trish0 -

My thoughts are with you. Hang in there and be strong. (Look at who is talking LOL...me who breaks down at everything these days). Anyway I know exactly what you mean about having to do everything yourself in the hospital -- just when you thought you have a little break and have someone else take care of him for just a few hours -- nope not going to happen - I know it all too well!!0
