I would like to thank every one here for all your words of support and prayers. On August 19,2009 my husband Sean lost his battle with cancer. He was able to come home from the hospital night before last and pass away in our bed this evening. Again thank you one and all.

    Thank you for having the courage to post this news. I am so very sorry at the news of your beloved husband passing away. I don't know if I ever personally ever gave you or him any information or support, but I'm glad to be part of the board that supported you and him. I am also glad for your sake that he was able to come home to you for the occasion.
    There are others on this board who have also passed away in the past couple of weeks. It seems to almost happen in seasons to folks. Then we'll go for another week or two with lots of folks getting good news to report. Well, if you're someone who prays and appreciate prayers, I would like to be praying for you and the rest of your family to cope with the grief and working through it all, as I'm sure it will take time. (please let me know if you'd rather I not pray and I will assume it's alright with you if I don't hear back from you).

    I am so very, very sorry to hear of Sean's passing. You two worked so hard to fight his cancer. This all happened so fast for you, I know you must be feeling his loss deeply. I will pray for you. I'm very sorry.

    Dear Sean's wife,

    I am so sorry to hear the news about your husband! I am new to the board and know that I offered no advice but based on responses I've gotten from my first post I know that you and Sean were in loving caring hands!

    God has called another Angel Home who will be lovingly watching over you!

    You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

    I'm late to this post this morning. When I opened your post, I could not believe my eyes, and my jaw hit the floor and my heart skipped a beat.

    I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Sean. It just seems so sudden...I've kept up with your posts and I know when you joined I posted to a couple of threads trying to offer some input about your husband.

    We know of Sean through you. He fought an incredible battle with courageness and dignity. As his CareGiver, I know that you did everything that was possible for him to help him and take good care of him. You are a good person and a terrific wife and CareGiver.

    I want to thank you for taking the time to post to us, especially with all of the emotions that you are dealing with now. We understand that is not an easy time for you right now. You are an incredibly strong woman and it's been my pleasure to talk with you and get to know you.

    I hope that some peace and calm will come to you to provide some moments of comfort as you walk through this part of yours and Sean's journey.

    I hope you stay with us...or come back to see us when you feel better. I feel that you have alot of offer other CareGivers both new and old with your experience.

    ....to hear about Sean, I am now sitting here in tears as well, it seemed so fast, but at least he went by your side in peace, I hope that would be how I would go, in my bed, with my loved one. You did all you can, and now he's in no more pain. My prayers go out to you and your family.

    I am really,really sorry to hear this news.Everytime when I see news like this,it breaks my heart.I think it breaks everybody's heart in this board whether we are caregivers or the warriors.I became so speechless and I am just like Craig,my jaw hit on the floor.I am really sorry for your loss.I have been reconsidering the meaning of life,unfortunately everybody in this world has to experience the loss of family or relative,it is so painful,but unfortunately the living ones have to take this.You are a great caregiver and you have won lots of my respects.Take care.
