I've posted before...at hospital all day - finally, received decision the docs would postpone going further with clinical study and administering meds due to low white blood cell count. Specifically, the differential count - components of the white blood cell. Neulasta is not part of the study, so if my body cannot rise to the occasion by next week, I may be out of the study. I've been searching on line for any nutrition info. - foods that could help. I am only allowed certain supplements due to the study rules/guidelines.

Any thoughts/specific info would be greatly appreciated. I really want the opportunity to try for the 2nd round of treatment.
Thanks for reading.

    Hello
I'm sorry I don't have many thoughts about how you can get your blood counts back..but I can express my care and thoughts for you. I would directly ask your doctors the best way to get the blood counts up by next week.. I would think they would be the best to know. I'd call and ask them. Prayers and thoughts to you that you can proceed. PLease let us know. Lisa

Just heard of an antioxidant called Immpower - extract from a Japanese mushroom that is supposed to boost cell function...just wondered if anyone has heard of it or used???

The docs don't offer me many ways of increasing my cell count mostly because the rules of a clinical trial are so strict. Few supplements or even the shot of neulasta is allowed.
It gets a little frustrating. But, I will continue to search and eat just about any food that helps contribute to optimal cell functioning!!!

    LOTS OF THOUGHTS
I would have lots of suggestions, but don't want to overwhelm you. But to answer your question about the mushroom, I have been taking AHCC mushroom for some time now. It boots your 'T' cells, also called natural killer cells. That's what fights disease, etc. I also highly recommend substantial doses of Vitamin C. It's imperative to our immunity.

Well, I could go on, but hopefully this helped. Keep us informed. I'll be praying for your blood counts to get back to normal so you can move on. Till then. . .

    (((HUGS))) & PRAYERS!

Hi Linn, sorry to hear you may be out of the study. To my knowledge there is nothing that can help the wbc come back(other than a more rest). Before I would embark on supplements please talk to your oncology team. Hugs and prayers coming your way. Bonnie
