Waiting.....again

for the office manager at my oncologists office to call me back and tell me if I have chemo tomorrow, as planned, or not. See, they didn't get a decision from the funding place yet as to if they will help with the chemo costs so they can't order the medicine until they know they are going to get paid. My share is $800 and I can't swing that.

I am so tired of waiting through each step of this disease. Hope I get accepted into the program.

    Hi Vicki
    I am praying that you can get help to pay for your chemo, Have you contacted the ACS? I know there are lots of programs out there. Medicaide part B for Breast and cervical helped me. I would contact also your state and county offices.

    I just can't believe that they won't start chemo until paid...I started mine and went through half of radiation before they even got funding straightened out. It was a mess but they didn't deny me any treatments!! What kind of program are you trying to get accepted into? Also as Moopy pointed out there is financial information on the thread Port in my thigh.

    Hope something works and soon. I am wishing you all the best.

    If wishes and prayers and good thoughts from all the members of this board amount to anything, you will get funded! And at the very least, you will have a venting place among kindred spirits here until you get the answers and chemo you need!

    I am appalled and outraged ...
    Breast cancer .. SUCKS. It's hard enough to be sliced and diced, now to worry about funding for chemo.

    Its hard to believe that you have to be going thru breast cancer plus the financial headaches on top of it...As if you dont have enough to worry about as it is. I am so sorry that you have to go thru this.

    WE are all here for you and I wish there were something more I could do

    hershey medical center was great they took what my insurance paid im gettig my 2 week radiation at mercy and they do the same also they are reimbursing me the gas money for everytime i drive there also mercy is to for my 2 week radiation hope this helps the cancer society picks this up pus every hospital should hve a program to help hope this helps you god bless and gl peggy

    My prayers are with you that you get the funding issues straigthened out and can continue your chemo. It truly sucks that you have to deal with the cancer and this too.

    I am so hoping that the funding comes through quickly for you. There are times I step away from this board because it breaks my heart to read posts such as yours. I find that I spend my days crying over things I have read because it is not fair. We are the greatest country in the world, yet people have to struggle and beg and plead to get a life saving treatment. I am sorry you have to experience this. I have struggled much these past three years with medical bills. I ended up in bankruptcy. I am still struggling. It is only by God's Grace that I am still here and surviving. But it hurts to read posts such as yours.

    My best prayers are with you and the biggest hug I have is yours.....Cindy

    I put that info.....
    in that thread Port in my thigh. One of those programs is the foundation that I am applying too. They say it takes three to five days to get the funding approved so they moved my chemo to next Thursday. I am so ready to get this started so that I can get it over with. I was all psyched for today to be the day. Oh well, now I have another week to wait!!

    Things are in the works so I just wanted to vent. I'm just real aggravated about the whole thing.

    I am praying for you also Vicki, that the financing comes thru for your chemo. It is sad that you have to go thru this when you are trying to fight the beast. Keep us informed.
