Just checking in
Just checking to make sure all is well. The site has been quiet for a couple of days, I guess thats a good thing.
Al has his weekly appt. tomarrow at Hillman and I hope he has gained some weight or at leas
for the most part has stayed the same. This is he off weak so no chemo. I always get extra anxious on Tues. I guess it's because you never know what will happen on the day of the appt. All of you caregivers know exactly what I mean. I do think all is well he has only had slight nausea which compazine in taking care of, so for the most part I don't think that there should be any thing out of wack. I just want the chemo to be over and the new PET scan done, and for Dr. Luketich to say lets wait a month and get the darn surgery over with.
I want so much to hear those word O>K for surgery. I know that I have to wait for the chemo to do it's job, but I feel like I've been waiting forever or what if something happens along the way and then he is no longer a candidate for surgery. I have so much going through my head right now & I just can't make it stop. I'm just having one of those feel sorry for myself moments.
Thanks for letting me vent. I hope all is well.
GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU!

ITS OKAY TO FEEL SORRY WE ALL DO
Yes your right the site has been quite for a few days odd huh, thats because MOE's house is pretty quite right now, and she retired her "BIG GIRL PANTIES" AND HER "SHOES" remember, i saved them for you, you will need them let me tell you if you go through what i did you will. When Jeff's chemo was about done we had to do another scope to see what it looked like before he would tell us its a go, then they schedule it and then had to reschedule that was a boom to us. As you know the road I walked was pretty scary and hairy, but as a caregiver I hung in there knowing we would see light at the end of the tunnel, don't give up your day will come when he will get the OK to proceed on, and then the time will come for surgery and you will think you are prepared and then boom you think the worse and see him at his worse I know I did. Just remember Kathy keep your spirts up and especially his and tell him each day how far he has come cause if you don't he will get down, if you just need to laugh go back to my posts and read them, I am sure there is some good advice. Remember our friend "KITTEN" she is going to start Chemo friday, and we want to wish her the best.
You can vent to me anytime LORD knows I did especially to WILLIAM MARSHALL, he has told me how far I have come just since the diagnosis.
Take care love and hugs

Kathy, that's good news
Hi,
Kathy, that's good news the surgery is still on. I really hope Al and my dad can have surgery around the same time!!! My dad is back up there and I'm hoping for some good news. I'm not sure when his next scan is, I'm hoping they schedule it for this visit. When my dad was done with his chemo up here at Georgetown, he started gaining weight and did great. So, I'm sure once all this chemo is done he'll put on weight. It's hard waiting!!!
