Hi Eric,
I love your sense of humor. I will be praying for you for this upcoming scan will show chemo has helped some of the cancer to go away. You are strong & prayers are being said for your continued strength and endurance.
Blessings,
Lisa
Thank you so much for all the wonderful posts. It makes me feel good to know that thre are so many of you supporting me and praying for me. I plan on being around for a long time. Phil - When I am a long term survivor will my head turn black and white? Does Craig have this problem? Should I avoid wearing blue? So many questions and not enough time. I am sincerely touched by all of you and I really appreciate it. I`ve never felt so close to people I`ve never met. I wish the best for all of you.

Winney - What people here don`t know about me because I have never shared it on my previous posts is that this is also my second bout with cancer. My first was testicular cancer that spread to the lungs and the brain. I had a large tumor in my brain and 10+ tumors in my lungs. They gave me radiation and chemo at the same time. The treatments were alot more harsh back then and I was really sick during those days. Due to the prayers of others and some good docs I survived. I started out getting treatments locally and my doctor did not give me enough treatments so it recurred which made it alot harder to get rid of. I spent my second go round in Houston at Md Anderson. I had to live there when I was getting treatments because they did not have me on a schedule. They would give me a treatment, wait until my blood count came back up and then hit me again. I had to be close to the hospital in case I spiked a fever because alot of times my white blood cell count was next to nothing. They gave me my chemo 5 days in a row and I had to stay in the hospital during treatment. There were times when I didn`t eat for 8 days. That was over fifteen years ago and I am still here. I am just fortunate enough to have to do this twice in a life time. The doctors have determined that this is totally unrelated to my first cancer. So, here we are again. Thank God the treatments are not as harsh as they used to be. I am a newbie to colon cancer but I am old hat at this game. I am already a survivor and looking to beat the odds again. Life can be so unpredictable but sometimes you`ve just got to learn to ride the wave.

You may not know this,
Eric
You may not know this, but I did know about this - but only because I was on the Testicular board one day and saw you post there and talk about your story - I was stunned at seeing that. I was doing some "homework" over there some time back and just came across a post of yours.
I did not say anything about it, because I thought that was something that you would want to share if you decided to - I never mentioned it to you in a PM for the same reason.
I found it unbelievable and I you've certainly had your share of things to deal with.
You know how I feel....keep it goin'!

Hi again Eric,
Wow- that's the first word the comes to mind. You've had more than your share in the cancer dept! I know of others, as well, who have had to deal with more than one type of cancer, as well. A friend of mine from church has already fought against both rectal cancer and breast cancer, and it has been a year and a half and she's been considered all clear for both of those. Now, they just "saw" something on one of her ovaries and she's waiting to get scanned to see if it's something cancerous or not. A neighbor of mine had stage II rectal cancer 6 yrs ago (is still all clear for that), but she's now being treated for a brain tumor (with cyberknife, actually).
Anyhow, I'm sorry you've had to go through so much. The fact that you're still here and have such a strong character and fighting spirit really says a lot about you. I admire you- rock on!!

Oh My Goodness
I never knew this and I'm so sorry that you are going through this a second time. I know you just went in for your test, and I wanted to let you know I'm still sending positive vibes. You have been through a lot and I thank you for your input.

Eric,
I didn't think it quite possible to admire you more than I already did, but your revelation just floored me. You're amazing, you're wonderful, and you deserve a break!

Thank you for all the love and support. Tomorrow is d-day and I will post the results as soon as I get back from the oncologists. The sad part about this whole thing is that they tested me for a genetic pre disposition to cancer and I don`t have one. Who knows what`s in God`s grand design.

Eric ( : . )
I had to go and change my picture on you so now your comments do not make sense. Now I look like Pharmer Phil. Eric, you may have this obsession with changing your photo or maybe you will turn blue and can join the Blue Man Group ;-)
So, you were holding out on us with the testicular cancer? You are quite the fighter, I'm only good for one fight but I figure it will be a long drawn out battle. Who knows, we all have a lot of fight in us it seems. Best of luck with your results.
I'm rooting for you Bud
