Doxil
My colon is involved and I have to really work to keep it working so I will have a double time of keeping thing moving. He said that I probably would not lose my hair this time...some thinning so I think I will wait and see before cutting it.
Thanks for the prayers. Saundra

Doxil
Hello Saundra,
Have you taken Doxil before? I'm sure they have warned you, but you really do have to be very diligent about keeping all of your clothing very loose. I tried wearing a bra just when I went out, but still got a horrific rash in that area. Also, without thinking, I took a long car trip a day or so after treatment and ended up with severe burning on the back of my legs. It was like the worst sun-burn you have ever had! It was so painful to sit down or get up. And, it lasted for months. You can bet that I purchased a couple of mumu's and that is what I wore most of the rest of the time. Also, Bonnie had several recommendations that really helped. She suggested getting Instant Ocean at the pet store, and soaking in that, which really helped a lot. I don't mean to scare you, but am hoping that you can prevent some of these painful experiences some of us have had. I learned that you have to show Doxil a lot of respect. Here's hoping and praying that this is the one that will put you in remission!!!! Luv and hugs, MM0 -
Doxil
Hi Saundra, I was on Doxil for 5 months unfortunately it didn't work. I did not lose my hair but oh my skin under my arms were red raw. Like MM said you really have to watch tight clothing or anything that rubs against your skin. No hot showers, bras etc. I suffered awful; it was the worst chemo I was ever on. It didn't start until the 4th treatment. Good luck!!!
Hugs and Prayers, Terry0 -
Doxil
I have been taking Doxil since April and have had little reaction to it other than if I am out in the sun I get red and very nauseous. Have you had a mugga scan on your heart? My doctor had me take one because Doxil can do a number on your heart and damage it.0 -

I will be watchful for heart side effects as my EKG shows that I have had a previous heart attack or either I was born with an abnorma pattern. At Stage IV (my cancer had spread to my liver) I had to weigh the
side effects carefully. Because I have had three abdominal surgeries, surgery for my tumor on the colon is the last resort to consider and time is the deciding factor. Hoping to shrink the tumor before a complete blockage of the colon as rapidly as possible. Medicine is not an exact science. I pray and trust God to protect. Saundra0
