Thanks to all/ cycle 3 of a/c today
Thanks to all regarding the neuropathy in my toes. I find its better if I keep my feet warms so I have slippers on and its better. Maybe its circulation... not sure...
Anyway< I did tell the nurse practioner today. She says it can happen with these meds and she thinks Im hypersensitive to meds.
I had my 3rd round of a/c today with 1 more to go. Then I start Taxol and herceptin every 2 wks x 4 rounds.
Which is worse, A/C or taxol and herceptin? Please tell me that after next time I am thru the worst of it
You guys are wonderful and I am so glad I found you all
Hugs

I never had any of those
I never had any of those Linda, so, I am not much help to you with information on them.
Just glad that your feet are warmer and that you got an explanation. Always ask any and all questions to your oncologist or nurse. Don't ever not. You deserve to know anything and everything. Ok?
Glad you found us too. This site is amazing!

Post and let us know how the rest of your treatment goes!

A/C is worse than Taxol. Herceptin is not a chemo drug. A/C is harsher on ones body.
I took anti-nausea meds when I was on A/C but did not need to take them when I was on the Taxol.
I had A/C once every two weeks for 4 treatments and then Taxol w/Herceptin once a week for 12 weeks and will start Herceptin alone in August for one year.

Thanks Margo for your words of advice. Did you get neuropathy on the Taxol/Hercetpin regimen cuz I heard that worsened with that treatment. I also heard there were more body aches with this regimen.
Another note>>>sorry about the hassle you are getting about air conditioning at work. I admire that you were able to work thru your whole treatment so far...That takes alot of guts and will...Ive only been able to do about 5 to 6 hours per day.
I am hopeful that after 1 more a/c treatment it will be easier
Thanks again

I don't know if I had bone /muscle pain on the Taxol because I still continue to take Claritin which helps with the pain---I would ask you oncologist---I know some that have just taken Tylenol but that didn't work for me.
Neuropathy--maybe sometimes my finger tips get numb but it isn't a constant problem. I am now done Taxol w/Herceptin--I finished it 7/23.
I know some others have had neuropathy but I don't know if it from our same chemo cocktail.
Hugs,
Margo0
