Thank you for coming to the site. Im rather new here, was just diagnosed in april and had a double mastectomy six weeks ago. I went to the onc today and found out i have to do chemo and hormone therapy. I also have to have the brca genetic test done because im 36 and pre menopause. I should of asked the onc this question, but how long does it take for each chemo treatment? I will be on Adramyacin. Its all starting to hit me and i dont feel so good about going through the treatment.

    I'm new here also
I found out I had breast cancer about 2 weeks ago. My lumpectomy is tomorrow. They are telling me it's early, only a centemeter in size, but it's IDC.

    Hi & welcome
    Hi Krissy,

My name is Haley, and I'm going on a three year cancer survivor. Like you, I was diagnosed young. which is very difficult to deal with. I was 28 when Diagnosed and now 31. My cancer was stage two and estrogen positive. It is hard to deal with even after the fact. I felt maybe we can exchange stories and encouragement for life challenges due to cancer.

I was also on carboplatin, taxotere and herceptin, did 33 treatments of rads and continue on Herceptin, How long are you doing herceptin? or are you done? What kind of follow-up tests do you have?

Welcome, I am so glad you found us, jackie
