when does the bad news stop coming in?

my husband has been diagnosed for a little over a week now. It starts off with a doctor saying that everything will be ok. then they start talking about what it will take to be ok. we will gut you from nipple to groin and remove things. Or you will require chemo. Then there is a very good chance that either path we take you will then require the other path just to make sure. And there is a good chance that you will require more treatments. Does it ever end?

I hear what you are saying...
Doris,
Yes, it is QUITE the Process...all that I can tell you is that I am over 2 years out now...and I'm doing well.
If you aren't satisfied with your doctors...you and your husband are his biggest advocate...you are allowed to seek a 2nd, 3rd, 4th...Opinion.
The "Epicenter of Testicular Cancer Medicine" is at IU in Indianapolis, IN. That is where Lance Armstrong had his surgery.
In any case, I would suggest calling the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345 and talking to them. They are there anytime...Day or Night, and they can help.
Best,
