Surgery again.............UGH

Set up a surgery date of Aug. 17th to have my gallbladder out and two hernias repaired...Yes two.UGH......I just can't stand the thought of going into the hospital and having surgery again....I know its for the best and I will finally be pain free for once..Which I haven't been for awhile..If its not the gallbladder attacks its the hernia pain. It has become very depressing for me and has put a damper on me going on vaction all next week knowing that I have to do this when I come back....
Just like everyone else here our health has taken over our live..I know I am far better off than alot of people health wise but it just doesn't seem to end...
My husband has been very good through my cancer and now this...but still the bills are mounting up like crazy (even though we both have insurance) which is upsetting him terribly..UGH

    Kim and I will be pulling you on surgery day - I hope that your pain is relieved from the procedures and you can get a certain quality of life back again.

    It's hard to have a good time when hard times are looming...but forget about it...live for the moment, we are not guaranteed tomorrow anyway...Life is a slice of pie anyway, you get a piece here and a piece there, but never the whole pie anymore...

    And I can relate to the bills, over 5 years I have run up my share of bills and I'm paying on so many bills, it eats into your paycheck - but just tell the husband, it's the price we pay for trying to live. Life is just a monthly payment anyway for most of us, so just keep paying and hopefull one day it will stop - I hope so.

    But first things 1st, enjoy your vacation - Cancer cannot take any of your memories away from you - they are yours all the way.

    I'm glad that the surgery is going to help you, but sorry that you have to go through that to get the relief you need. You will be glad once it's all over with and then carry on with your life pain free. Try to enjoy your vacation and don't focus on what you have to face when you get back. Sorry about the mounting medical bills. Seems to be part of this terrible disease. Let us know how you are doing.

    Too bad about the surgery, if it's not one thing, it's always another. I must had like 4 surgeries since being diagnosed in January. But do keep your chin up, and that smile on, don't let this damper you fun, just make it like its a walk in the park, you will get through this! we are fighting this together, and you have our positive thoughts and prayers~

    I know all about the mounting medical bills, we're in the same boat, don't stress about them, just worry about yourself and getting better!

    Thanks everyone this board is sooo great to be on..Everyone just makes you feel so loved and cared for...Its soooo nice to be with people who REALLY know what you are going through.....I also love how we all can whine and cry to each other and nobody tells you to get over it....Thanks again........JULIE

    I know what you are going threw had my galblader out to now after that i have a hidal hernia and i get the worse pains i feel like i am having a heart attack I control that with diet. I hope you will feel better soon.You are in my thoughts
