Back on Chemo tommorow

I starting a second series of chemo tommorow. This time Capecitibine (oral) and Oxiliplatin (ouch). I really don't look forward to the Oxy since my neuropathy from the fist series has not completely resolved. I have been doing some online research and some studies show using Gingko Biloba can help. Otherwise, for four weeks post-op from removing a liver tumor, I feel good, back at work and mentally preparing for this next stage of life.
I have been using Bag Balm on my feet and it really helps.

That made me feel good
Mike
That made me feel good this morning when you said Bag Balm worked - I knew it would and I'm glad you checked it out - it had worked for me and I when I heard your story, I had to tell you about and lo and behold, you followed through. That's just great!
On your Oxy, ask them about taking Magnesium Sulfate - this also helped me tremendously and lessened the neruopathy and cold sensation effects by a landslide. I could even drink cold drinks the day of the treatment - opened up a quality of life that was being robbed before.
Take care Buddy, I'm following you on your journey and checking your posts when you're on.
I'm with you all the way!

Treatments
Good luck on your upcoming treatments. I am on the oxy too and I know it is no picnic but I am taking B6 which seems to be helping. Let us know how you are doing.

Hang In There
Know it is tough to think about going back on chemo and oxy but
you will make it.....ask about the calcium and magnesium during
infusion and also gabapentin (for seizure disorders) is supposed
to be good for neuropathy; there are some choices in trying to
keep the neuro decreased including reducing the amount you get
and spread it over a longer time.

I know the feeling
Hi Mike,
I know the feeling of "here I go again", because "here I go again" too. I see the Dr. tomorrow & will hear what my newest cocktail will be. Definitely lousy- but you can do this. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you too this week, especially anytime I find myself dreading and/or worrying about my own situation. Do take care & God bless!
