even though Dolton was just over the Calumet River a block from my "growing up " house. I always thought of the Calumet Park and Blue Island kids as somehow inferior.
How did you know that I am a grade hogger? Because I confessed my nerddom? Thanks for the A+. I am just SO puffed up with pride - look out Claudia!

What wonderful news. I am so happy for you. It seems like you had a great day (except for the tire). You are right DAK made the best bread machine ever. Love Surf0 -

No unfortunatly my DAK met it's demise about 3 years ago. I now use a bread machine called the Bread Machine Ultimate, not nearly as good and I had to tweak a lot of my DAK recipies for the new machine. Love surf0 -

Sorry blue isn't your color, otherwise a funny, 50ft blue woman would be a real asset to the Blue Group.
My oldest daughter (who lives in Boise) saw the new HP on Saturday and she shares your opinion. I thought "Prisoner of ..." was pretty hokey and the quality keeps going downhill. I love the books and I love the audio version. If you haven't listened to HP on CD, you are in for a treat. The narrator is over the top.
Thanks so much for your sharing and caring. I always look forward to your posts. Lynn
I agree with you regarding the HP audio versions! Reggie and I always have audio books with us when we travel, and the narrator for the HP books is indeed a treat! I think it is wonderful that he has done all of the books~ he has the perfect voice, doesn't he?
Glad you are relaxing with wine, and reading our loving posts to you!
Maybe I should rethink the whole Blue thing; I saw them in Vegas, and know they are on tour now, so maybe I can be an added attraction! LOL
Hugs,

I am so happy Lynn that Ned has come to stay with you (forever)! I didn't know about Markers, still not sure what they are. I am also 3a and my first follow up is the 28th. I am not sure what they do. Then the rad onc. is the 6th of Aug. don't know what they do either.
I know how it is to be so far away from any kind shopping, I also live in a community of about 900 (including the cats and dogs) LOL! but the next town is about 45 min. away, and i also enjoy buzzing there with a buddy. Sounds like you had a very good day. I will celebrate with you (and a glass of red wine this evening) to early to start now or i would teehee.
Bet its the best feeling in the world to have ned with you and great big CONGRATULATIONS!!!
lotsa love and hugs, jackie0 -
Congratulations Lynn! BTW-
Congratulations Lynn! BTW- I've seen three different oncs (because we've moved so much) and two took blood and did the marker thing and one didn't. I read that it was unreliable anyway but sometimes felt I was being cheated if they didn't do it. I found I didn't like that onc very much anyway.0 -

You are soo funny, Tash!tasha_111 said:Glass?
Bugger that! You need the whole bottle to get the goodness! Happy for you. Hugs Jxxxxxxxxxx
Now Tasha, did it not occur to you that our dear Lynn was filling her glass with red wine, and then re-filling it? and then re-filling it again?? There are only 4 1/4 glasses of wine in one bottle~ that's hardly worth sharing, now is it? A glass for oneself, a glass for the Kindred Spirits , a glass for family, and a glass and 1/4 for NED!!! LOL
Hugs,

I am trying the DAK out on pizza dough right now and it's working! It's gone through all the cycles on "Manual" and the dough is now rising. I am happy, happy, happy. The vacuum cleaner works too, though the attachment hose needs some cleaning out. The Steven King popup is flawless, Cindy. Life is good. xoxoxo Lynn0 -

Jackie, how is your husband doing? Glad to hear that you are recovering. It has taken me 11 months to figure out that after rads is the RECOVERY mode, not cancer. Hope you are not a slow learner like me. Tonight is book club for me and we always have wine. It is the best book club ever. I will toast you and all my other friends here on the board in my heart and I know there will be many toasts tonight!0 -

Can I join you? Homemade pizza for dinner, wine later while discussing books? Omigosh, sounds lovely.
Enjoy!

on whether you're a northside girl or southside...Cubs or Sox...A good time was had by all at book club (we discussed last month's book: "The Whistling Season" by Ivan Doig) and we have our new book. Its title is "A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian." hmmmmm.0 -

Wellllll... Can I say I'm a Downtown Girl, smack dab in the middle (did work in the Loop for 20+ years)? How 'bout Cubs AND Sox? (No, that never flies - even though it's true!) Mom is a Cubs fan, Dad is a Sox fan. OK, I admit - am a proud Northsider. But, without any prejudice nor rivalry towards my fellow Southsider Chicagoans. Honest. After all, we share the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, etc.
Kind regards, Susan
P.S.: Can't help it - must point out the Perfect Game by the Sox yesterday!0 -
