Rash
It could be the wig, are you wearing a wig liner cap? I remember when my hair fell out my head was really hot and itchy. I used baby shampoo on my scalp and it felt better. I still use the baby shampoo on my bald head. Love surf0 -

I had a rash on my head too. I also had Cytoxan & Taxotere. Mine never did get very bad so I never even mentioned it to my doctor. But it did itch & hurt.
Yep ... have your doctor call a dermatologist for an appointment. I had the same itchy thing going on and the dermatologist gave me a prescription for some foam stuff to rub on my head a couple of times a day (and leave it on ...it soaks in fast) ... and it really helped.
hugs.

It could also be a heat rash. You mentioned getting really hot. At any rate the doc should know what it is and tell you what to do for it. I always go to the onc first and if it's not cancer related I'd get referred to someone else.
I had my second CT
Bev,
I had my second CT chemo treatment a week ago and I too have a rash on my head. I thought it was from my husband shaving my head. I guess not! Thank you for posting this, I'm calling the doc tomorrow. Mine is very itchy too.

Bev,
Talk to your oncologist about it. The chemo drugs zap your white blood cells so you are prone to yeast infections, fungal rashes, etc. That's what the docs told me. I do not have a rash on my head but have it on the other end if you know what I mean. This is a side effect from the chemo drugs. They had to give me cream, and a couple of differnt type of meds for my rash. Make sure you tell them what works and what doesn't so they can take care of it. The heat can make your itching worse.
Take care.
