Avastin/booster shots

My dad has had three 46 hour rounds of chemo(5FU), then this last one was 54 hours. He had a platelet booster shot and a shot of neulasta. This was the first time he has had the platelet shot but he has had neulasta twice before. He has never been this ran down and it has been a week. He is not getting out of bed at all and is exhausted. He has had a feeding tube directly into his stomach for two months now and still isn't gaining any taste buds and isn't eating. Could anyone tell me if this is normal? Does anyone have any suggestions to help him? I'm grasping at straws.
When we go back on July 28 he has to get all new tests, then on the 29th they will reevaluate him and start another round of chemo, but this time the doctor wants to give him avastin as well. I have read some really scary stuff on this drug and was wondering if anyone here has had it and how they did on it.
If you took the time out of your day to read this God bless you!

Sorry
Sorry your dad is not feeling well. I really can't help you on his situation because I don't know about the feeding tubes and Avatin. I'm on the oxy and I know that is a hard chemo too. Believe me no chemo is easy on you. Just make sure you trust your oncologist and listen to what they suggest. Tell them everything regarding your dad especially with his fatigue. Don't always wait for an appointment either if you have a concern - that is what they are there for. Your dad is in my thoughts and prayers.

I never had any of the
I never had any of the platelet boosters, but I did have to have two blood transfusions because my counts were going so low. I've been on Avastin since the very beginning and never had any side effects from that. I had really bad side effects from the Oxi, and ended up having an allergic reaction so badly they had to stop that all together. I also had bad side effects from the 5FU, so I was switched to Xeloda. I'm sorry your dad is having such a rough time. Chemo...for all the good it does...it's very hard on the body. I hope it gets better for him.
