Scanxiety

Great Eric
Hey, that's me at the other end of the tunnel - I'm holding flashlight.
Really good news - waiting on scans is the worst.
We just dropped off my last 2 CT and PET scans today and am still waiting for the chest surgeon to review them and get back to me - might be this week after all.
We got copies of the last doctor's reports too, Eric - I was shocked to see alot of words I'm not familiar with and that the onc has not told me about. I'm going to do my homework to get an understanding of the terms....but alot of it did not look so good. I don't understand why he never mentioned them. I'm going to set up an appt with the new onc to go over it after I've read and prepared.
I hope I don't have to open up a bad post - to see I'm concerned would be an understatement.
But, I digress...this post is about you and your good news and I hope it's great - you deserve it and so much more. We'll find a way to pass the time for another month.
You're a good man, hang in there.

Hi Eric,I wish you the best
Hi Eric,I wish you the best luck to your scan next month. You are in my prayers and I am hoping your scan will come out clear.Best wishes and best luck to you!0 -
Yeah Man!!!!
Eric, holy toledo, that is wonderful news. I am very happy for you. It's good that they will wait another month so that way they may be able to really give you the NED News. I agree though that you should prepare for the Not Quite NED possibility but think positive. I'm rooting for you Bud, you've come a hell of a long way in a relatively short period of time. I get my next scan at the end of July I believe. I'm on vacation and I brought my cancer with me. It really loves the shore. I may have to buy it a souvenir.

Wishing you the best for your scan and hoping that all comes out better than anticipated. You are still going through chemo so waiting can be a good thing to make sure all is going well with your treatments. Keep us informed.

Craig - I don`t know if that is the case or not but just the fact that the oncologist feels positive is encouraging. I think the results will be good. There is still the possibility of having a negative surprise but I am believing that is not the case. These posts are for all of us and I can get encouragement and still be concerned about you. You are a bright spot on this site and I hope everything works out for you. You are definitely in my prayers and I hope that a negative post will not be necessary but if it is we are all behind you 100%. Give me a call if you want to meet up or you just need someone to talk to. I can handle being a strong shoulder even in my current condition. I`m praying for light at the end of your tunnel and I will be holding my flashlight for you too.

Eric, Sounds like good news so far. John has three more treatments and then they said they would wait a month and do a scan. I am pulling for you and the NED. That would be so wonderful!! Good thoughts. Paula G.

Thanks for the fireworks. I will take ypur advice and thanks for the prayers. I have two dogs from the same litter. they are spitz/poodle mixes. The mother died from complications during birth so I had to hand feed them when they were puppies. They don`t know they are dogs and they think I am their mother. They are very human oriented because it is all they have ever known. Three were born and after giving away one of them I did not have the heart to do it again so I kept the other two even though I intended to keep only one. They have been a great source of comfort.

You are not alone. I hope all goes well with your scan.
I am waiting too, July 24th for an MRI. I too hope NED is in the picture.
Best wishes!
Mike
I hope all goes well for you. Keep us posted. You will get your results before me. I guess there is light at the end of both our tunnels. There are plenty of people leaving the light on for us. We got motel 6er`s all over the place.

Eric, I'm praying for both you and Craig (and all others too)! You both are such good people! My scans were supposed to be tomorrow, but I postponed them until next Friday and I get the results on the 29th when I see my onc. So we are all in this together!
