I have issues with sweating and BO- sweating when nobody else is, runs in my eyes and burns, end up moping my face all day long with my tshirt. BO- by the end of the day smells like a gym locker room. Use a deodorant soap and Mitchem BO killer, shower daily. Complained to my oncologist that 6 months after completing chemo I still feel like I am on chemo- he just nods his head and agrees. Any one else have this problem? Any suggestions on a deodorant that will actually work?

Try taking "Nullo" over the
Try taking "Nullo" over the counter - probably in the vitamin section - for the BO. Might help some....0 -
Same Boat
I am in the same boat.....my BO is much worse than
before chemo and sometimes I wonder if others smell
it or it is just me......sometimes it smells like
the chemo.....have not found any good deodorants,
stopped using some because they smelled the same
as the chemo, lol......am also getting sweats and
I think I am way past having hot flashes.....have
been thinking about going to allergist because my
eyes seem more sensitive to light and burn at
night and am having post nasal drip after being
in my garden or around dusty areas.....think the
chemo may have given me allergies or worsened the
ones I had......but, hey, I am breathing, living
and looking foward to the future....I will endure
the small things.

Hot Flashes
I have them constantly. My oncologist said chemo will throw me back into menopause...and I thought I was done with that! The BO as well...I take a lot of showers. My sheets, everything smells like chemo to me.
the nurses suggested Black Cohosh supplements, but it only worked for a while on me. I carry a battery operated portable fan with me.
My eyesight has deteriorated as well, and my hearing is very bad. I was partially deaf in one ear before, now I can't hear worth a darn out of either ear. Hubby wants me to see an audiologist.

I did, too....
I went into menopause from the surgical hysterectomy....but, my oncologist said that even without the hyster, the chemo would have put me there...and keep me there for an average of 6 months after chemo was over...
So, it's not unusual...but still, it's the pits...literally...
I dressed as light as possible...all the time...but, many nights, stood with the freezer door open...
This, too, shall pass...

some ideas
I went into the instant menopause after surgery too. One of the oncologist nurses suggested vitamin E, soy, and flax. It has worked pretty good for me. I notice even now if I forget these supplements my night sweats start up again. I also do better with unscented antiperspirants rather than scented ones. One plus, mosquitos don't like me anymore!! Scented products seem to mix unpleasantly with my body chemistry, and those deodorant soaps do leave a film on your skin, that also makes you more prone to sunburn. I have some terry cloth stretchy head bands that I wear up under my hair to keep sweat out of my eyes. With time, your body will rid itself of the chemo after affects. Hope you get some relief from your symptoms.

Same problem
I have the same problem. I had a friend buy me some body mist from lotions and more, I love it, while I still sweat this body mist really helps with the BO. And I love the smells of the different fruits and berries.
