Good to know you're feeling even a little bit better today. Means you'll feel a bit better tomorrow, too.
Kind regards, Susan
P.S. TO DEAR J: Thanks for the joke, which added a much needed bright spot to Kat11's day! :-)0 -
I guess I'm a bit slow...
I just noticed your GSD in the yard. How old is she/he? The pix is a little hard to see, but he/she looks like a fine-looking dog. I thought you were just a guppy lady that wore turquoise.
Aren't GSDs great dogs? Though I love several other breeds, I am partial to GSDs and it's the only breed I would ever own.

That is my beloved Riva. I'd never owned a GSD before and she found us. Stood barking in 4ft of snow wanting to play snowballs..we fell in love with her immediately (even tho we thought it was a HE at first) we eventually traced her owner who told us her life story and said we could keep her. She was a breeder dog but lost her first litter and couldn't carry again, so they spayed her and sold her. She was an outside guard dog for 6 years before she ran off and came to us. We have enjoyed her company greatly for 3 years, she is just so wonderful, obedient, sensitive and loving. Unfortunately she's having a lot of hip problems and going downhill very fast, I just can't make the decission yet though. She weaves, staggers and falls about the house, but you get her in the back garden she's like a puppy again, obviously loving life, galloping about after a football.
I have her on glocosamine tablets but any suggestions would be more than welcome. She is my best friend.

Honest Injun!
Being as I lived on the Indian Reservation during treatment ( we recently moved across the street from the Reservation) I always called Reggie "Tonto"...as the old radio show said that Tonto was the "Faithful Indian Companion", and that he surely was! And in keeping with the Lone Ranger theme, I also was convinced that I suffered not from Chemo-brain but Kemo-Sabe Brain!!!
Thanks for the grins, Ms Tasha!

I think that I must have some of that Kemo-Sabe brain. I often get my well-known facts wrong...when I originally read this, I was thinking that Tonto was the Lone Ranger's horse. Why he would have been in a saloon is beyond me, but I said, well maybe. He must have done a heck of a job on that piano. Then, being from Upstate NY where engine is often pronounced 'injin', I thought the guy was talking about the Lone Ranger's 'horse power'. And, I don't have chemo to blame for my confusion...

Oh My~ I am laughing picturing a horse playing the piano! So, Joyce, with your line of reasoning, when the Lone Ranger yelled "Hi Ho Silver", you figured Silver was his Faithful Indian Companion?!!! You can be forgiven for that; Tonto was played by Jay Silverheels! LOL LOL You have made my day! :-)
