Just wanted to say
Blessings come in many forms, one) led me to you wonderful ladies. two) a "scare" of my life, that made me "step back", and take a look at my life, (I'm a workaholic). Three) I had the second mammogram July 8th followed by an ultrasound and told I had a 4mm cyst!! Resume your yearly mammograms they said. Whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, that was some week.
I want to tell you,the technicians were wonderful, it made for a truly heart felt experience. The ultrasound gal let me watch, explained things so well I actually could understand, though w/o my glasses on, I couldn't tell what I was looking at, it all looked the same to me! When I left she hugged me, and as I walked out back to the waiting room, it was full. In my mind having read "one out of every eight women will be diagnosed with BC".
I admit, selfishly, this could never happen to me. An eye opener, we get so caught up in our lives....I am more humbled by this experience. I have read here a lot in the last week, and find just by what I have read "blessings" abound on this site!! Each of you, yes, each of you have touched my life in some way. THANK YOU! Tish aka P
PS as for that sod club thing, ok, I forgot the full name of it, but want to say I do love animals, dogs, cats etc, but my life style is such I'm not home much to be-able to take care of them. I've enjoyed all the pet pics here, too cool! My prayers to each of you.

Whooo Hoooo!!!!
We rejoice at ALL good news~ and yours is the kind we love most of all! We all have indeed gotten the proverbial wake-up call, and isn't it nice to wake up from a dream and not a nightmare?!
It comes as no surprise to us that you feel you have been both blessed and humbled by your recent experience~ and finding your way into this forum was indeed part and parcel of that. I have said numerous times that nowhere will any of us find a more supportive, insightful, caring, empathetic group of women and men ! There is truly something unique about us, in all the ways that matter in this journey called Life.
I know it is hard to slow down, especially being a self-proclaimed workoholic, but I hope this does re-set some of your priorities. I always remind us that there is Life After Cancer~ and I know for sure there is Life After a Cancer Scare! Go live it, sister!
Hugs,

Susan, I was hoping I could still be an honorary member. Animals do love me! My boyfriend did bring over his daughter's dog last Saturday,(he was dog sitting for the weekend). I told him I needed some "pet therapy", he abliged and brought Marmaduke over. We went for a 2 mile walk, it was just wonderful. BF was very supportive as I waited for Wednesday. In the past I had two kitties, Natasha and Boris, yes from the ole Bullwinkle days, a sign of my "youthful" age of 51! wink. THANK YOU SUSAN for the "membership"! tish0 -
