Quick Update
This is the day ~ this is the day ~ that the Lord has made ~ that the Lord has made ~ we shall rejoice ~ we shall rejoice and be glad in it and be glad in it. :-)
Yesterday's clinic visit was good and I recieved another dose of the Abraxane. My ca125 only increased one point and my Dr was thinking the same as me that it was probably higher than that by the time I got chemo. He also said the fact that the fevers weren't spiking was a good sign too. So another dose on July 30th if ca125 comes down this time. Then I think a CT Scan after that. I have a few other things going on that the cancer is causing but managable, more bladder incontinence and even at night, feeling full and bloated and gained a couple more pounds, and having to eat smaller portions as my abdomen just can't take much at a time(maybe it'll help me lose a couple pounds) but not worried about it.
:-D
I actually have been able to walk beyond the mailbox and back again without getting so winded, walked almost 2 miles the other day and could have went further if it wasn't for my bladder problems. Working on the fence with all the walking has been good too. God is good ~ all the time. My hemoglobin stayed at 11, which is really really high for me, guess the two units of blood and taking the extra doses of iron each day are refueling me along with all the prayers.
Thank you all for your prayers. What positive energy they carry ~ just the boost needed to go with chemo. Prayers of thanksgiving for all!
You know with all the treasures, sent through God's Love for us, of friendships and prayers our physical circumstances become far less important. The bottom line is loving God from the bottom of our hearts and rejoicing in the new day he blesses us with. I pray today you feel this joy too, inspite of any hardships, fears or distractions that may come your way.
Psalm 34:2-4 My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
The winds of Grace are always blowing, just make sure you raise the sails.

THE LORD IS GOOD!
So good to read your post this morning, Bonnie! As always, you exude faith, strength and joy - what a blessing you are!
I woke up feeling a little low this morning, as there are other things going on in my life that the Lord is working on (thankfully, not cancer). But before I even left the bed I prayed for so many - family, friends, all of the women here. And I once again affirmed that He is in control and worthy of all love, faith and thanksgiving. So to read your post, it was as if He was speaking to me through you. As I said, He is good!
Praying that all your counts will stay in acceptable levels and/or improve. I'm thankful that you are able to experience life with what He has enabled you to do. How wonderful that you can always be in a serene setting, working about your home, sharing with family, and cherishing all the moments in life.
Blessings today and always, Bonnie. Even though I still read CaringBrigde, I generally come here first so we appreciate your updates and encouraging words.
Special HUGS today!
Monika

Inspiration
Bonnie,
What an inspiration you are to me and everyone else!
It is good to know that our strength comes from the Lord! He is ever present in our times of need. I am so thankful for His Word that it is ALIVE and is TRUTH.
Nehemiah 8:10 "The Joy of the Lord is my Strength."
May you continue to find strength in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Love you,

"Great is Thy Faithfulness; Great is Thy Faithfulness"
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not; Thy compassions they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.
Great is Thy faithfulness; Great is Thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed, Thy hand hadst provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord unto me.
(my favorite hymn, that jumped right into my head as soon as I read your post! Such a good tune to have singing in your head all day!) ((((((Bonnie))))))0 -

Thank you everyone for your notes ~ the picture isn't anything like me now as I am bald again. :-) Think I may do a henna tatoo this time, see what it costs and how long it would last. Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie0 -

Bald is still beautiful, Bonnie. Some of the most intelligent people on earth are bald. Hugs, Cindy0
