fighting for mom

Mom's cancer marker came back and we are thrilled! It's < .05 so oncs are quite pleased with where she is at. Of course, no follow up tests until November- so then we will be able to sigh an even bigger sigh of relief. But for now---WHOOOHOOO!!!
Thanks for all the encouraging words to help us through this journey.
I must say- that chemo brain is still throwing her for a loop. She made a bunch of cookies for the onc deptmt and made 1 of the recipes wrong. This upset her quite a bit as she is an excellent cook. Luckily she added the topping to the bars and they were still ok. But still...
She will be happy when good old chemo brain goes on vacation for good! I must say there have been some really good chemo brain stories that just get funnier and funnier. I am only laughing with her though!

Great
That is such great news. Your mom can take a deep breath and enjoy the rest of her summer. I'm still dealing with chemo brain, but I'm hoping shes not to hard on herself. It's to be expected.

Great CEA Number
Hi, Susan
That's a really terrific CEA number!
I feel so good for all of you! Definitely reason to relax and unwind. I'm sure the next test in November will be just as good.
We love good markers and good news...and thank you for sharing.
