You have been through a lot but it is going to turn around real soon. I am going to say a prayer --hopefully you can get the port and get on to feel like yourself. I have a dear friend with colon cancer going in in the morning for surgery. It is really a journey.Prayers for you!!0 -
sending you healing energy
Hi Ro,
I'm sending you healing energy. If you want to try the following I believe this will speed your healing.
imagine your white blood cells successfully fighting the infection, I would do this 2-3 times a day during my treatment and still now - but not so often. I do some progressive relaxation first and then go to my special healing place and visualize my healing helpers and imagine my immune system doing it's work.
This is powerful stuff!! There are CDs out there to help guide the process. I attribute my health now to this plus my medical care.
Blessings to you, Ro.

I went to the infection doctor today. He extended my antibiotics for 4 more days. I had a temperature of 99.6 when I was in his office. He also wanted a CAT scan done today before I have my port put in on Monday. He wanted to make sure the asrea was cleared up, and that I would not infect the port with my infection. Tonihgt my temperature at 8:00 pm was 98.6. Yeaaaahhhh. They tested my stool for WBC and C-diff, too. Since I have been on the antibiotics for almost 2 weeks now, I have frequent very soft stools. I did not hear anything about the CAT scan, so I presume I can get my port on Monday, and chemo #5 on Tuesday. In peace and caring. HUGS to all.0 -

Sounds like you are slowly, but surely getting through this infection so you can get back on track with your treatment. So happy that your temperature stayed down tonight! I am praying that you are well enough to get your port and chemo next week. Hang in there.
I had my CT guided biopsy today and it was not too painful. I was pretty wound up going into it, so they medicated me before the doc even came in the room. I was very anxious and emotional today and really had trouble keeping it together. Anyway, the meds helped a lot. I remember it hurting 1 time. The nurse told me after that she gave ne more meds and I went back to sleep. Probably no results until early next weak.
So... I wait.0 -

The last couple of weeks have been so hard for you both. And now the waiting for results. I agree. I HATE THIS CANCER. But I love you, my UPSC Sisters. There's no 'closure' to having cancer, is there? At least we have each other on this long and winding road.0 -

Tomorrow I hope I finish my final antibiotics. I am scheduled for my port insertion at 8:45 Monday and Chemo #5 on Tuesday. I hope it all happens as scheduled. I have not had a temperature since Thursday afternoon, so I hope that is gone now too. Still no energy and my blood pressure has been running below 100, so that does not make me feel very strong. Wedensday I will go for the neulasta shot, so I hope to get back some energy and not have problems with the white blood cell count. One of these days I am going to feel as good as everyone says I look. In peace and caring. HUGS to all. I appreciate having all of you to go on this journey with me. Deanna I pray you get good results from your biopsies. Linda your hair looks great. I am back to a shiny head again, but I know it is temporary. Teresa you should be ready to get your last chemo, hope it goes well for you.0 -
