So, i'm asking again,
I am dealing with the as slow as a snail crawls hair re-growth (except for the hair on my legs, which NEVER fell out, such an injustice LOL)...but what about these darn eyelashes? I had about 5 left on each eye (my eyelashes used to be one of my favorite features ), maybe....and they were so flimsy when i tried to put just a tad of mascara on them, pushing the mascara wand on them made them stick to my eyelid LOL
So...can you give me an idea of when yours came back? I even got Latise from my dr, been using it for over 2 weeks, even tho i know it's really too soon for results from that...but i've been done with chemo since May 29th....

Eyelashes
My feeble research and question asking kept coming up with about 2 months post final chemo for hair (any type) to begin growing back. Hopefully, I've been misinformed and it's faster than that. Otherwise, I won't have my hair back until December. Hoping to be "cranial prosthetic" free by my birthday in Dec. Good luck!0 -

Hair.........
My eyebrows came back first and my eyelashes seemed to re-apper overnight, about 10 weeks-2 months after I finished chemo.
Hair on my legs never re-grew...oh! I take that back! I found A hair on a leg!
Hair on my head is just over 1/2 inch long, and I finished chemo med December. But my hair was always slow growing, so I'm not surprised that it's taking so long.

I finished chemo in May and have about 1/2 inch of hair on my head my eye lashes came back over night so it seems as did my eye brows. It depends on your hair growth on how fast it will grow back.

My hair started first, then about 2 weeks later the eyelashes....(YEY I can use mascara again!).. They caught up really fast and very soon back to normal. Eyebrows took a bit longer, they are still not as thick as they were, but HEY I don't have to pluck them and I no longer look like 'Mr Clean!'
Underarm hair hasn't come back (1 year out) leg, arm and nether regions is sparse.... Hope this helps Hugs Jxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

I know what you mean, I honestly think the loss of my eyelashes was worst than the hair loss.
I have been on chemo since 3-4-09 and will finish 09-02-09 (God willing) I have a bit of fuzz on my head but it is patchy, I have leg hair on the front of my calves but no where else. I also have lost my eyebrows. I really like not having nether region hair( Woo-Hoo free brazilian wax from chemo) I kind of like to think of it as a nice benefit compared to all the hell I've endured. Let me know if the Latisse works, I plan to see my dermotologist right after my last chemo and get an rx for it. I'm sure your lashes will return to their former glory in no time. Love Surf0 -

Newbie
Hi, I'm a newbie to the site so please bare with me.
MY QUESTION: MY EYEBROWS....My eyelashes took about 2 months after radiation to come back (thin at first but ok now) my bottom lashes have only grown back a scatering few.....but my EYEBROWS have not come back!!! I have MAYBE 6 hairs in each brow...NOT TOGETHER! So I use eyebrow powder. My oncologist and I have laughed about this...BUT...the fact still remains that I am the only patient of his that this has happened to. Anyone else out there with this problem? I find it very hard to believe that I am alone in this!0
