Looking Ahead

The next few months should be very interesting on the bio-tech front. I know you all were wondering why so many new things were streaming in. Well, it's because Obama wants to decrease the proprietary formula time down to 7 years. Many companies that were thinking they would get 15-20 years of service from their products may have that number cut in half. Then generics could come in and challenge them for price. But any drugs that are already in the pipeline would still be fall under current rules and regulations. You better believe there is gonna be a scramble to get things in before that heathcare reform bill passes.

Wow! I hadn't heard this. This could help so many. I know there are drugs in the pipeline now that could help and it is to bad they can't be included. I hope so much that Obama can get the healthcare reform passed. It is badly needed.
I have been playing the game with MS crap for years. There have been drugs put on a fast track system and have been put on the market in two years. One of them had people start to die of PML and they pulled it off the market themselves. Because they pulled it off the market themselves and the FDA didn't make them they were able to get it back on the market in less than two years with a black label and a program doctors have to follow. I am on that drug now. It has stablized me.
I didn't mean to make this an MS thing. Cancer drugs are new to me but I am sure it works the same way. They need the challenge. Thanks for sharing Paula G.0
