pain
Hi Tim
I am new to this too I can only tell you my hip and back hurt too especially at my current predison level The only good thing about predisone is there is no pain !!!!My lymphoma is in my left hip bone marrow. My hip and back and leg were hurting before the lymphoma so that was what i thought it was I was doing PT untIl my hgm was so low that I couldn't. I am hoping now that my pain is my previous pain. ya know? I had a BMB last Friday so this thursday I will find out a lot. I know abut the taste also. I wish I knew when it changed and went back to normal. last week all I could really eat were beef crispy tacos lol this week it is BBQ sandwiches !!! I am always amased.
I hope you feel better soon and get some answers and help with these problems.0 -

Hi Tim
Yes it is so much to process. sometimes it takes everything you have but you will get through it.
Good luck with the biopsy. THose make you so nervous Yes? and then of course the waiting. the waiting is so darn hard.
Have a great week.

after- chemo pain
I had non-hog. lymphoma a little over a year ago. The tumor was in my spine/neck. I went through chemo and rad. and it did the trick. God is good! Said that to say this, I had some arthritis before chemo but after chemo it got bad and stayed that way. Pain in my legs, hips, and back. Have been taking hydro-codone every six hours and can function. Hip pain wakes me up at night, it hurts to walk, and back pain limits what I can do. Seems to me that chemo made this worse but it's better than the alternitive. Tim, you have my very best wishes for your test results and you are in my prayers. God bless.0 -

Something that I learned over the past year, was that perhaps prednisone, while being good for treatments, also can reek havoc on your bones. And you can be on prednisone for just months for it to have an effect.
I underwent a DEXA scan late last year, a long-term survivor issue, but my wife also underwent one earlier this year due to high dose prednisone. I believe one of the drawbacks of prednisone is increasing the chances of osteoperosis.
If your benefits cover it, I would request the DEXA scan.
