Fun
Well at least do you remember having fun? I hope so at least. Sorry you didn't feel well after. Sometimes you just have to "be normal." Hope treatments are going ok or as good as can be expected for you. I'm glad you got to go out.

Hey, Man, you probably
Hey, Man, you probably "closed the place down" didn't you? That's great and glad you had a good time. The meter is "running" and there is no "luggage rack" on the hearse, so good for you and glad you went for it.
With all of the toxic poisons they have pumped into our bodies and we have taken the pills by mouth, you'd think that a drink or 2 would be the last of our worries.
There is a QUALITY OF LIFE versus the Quantity of Life - and it sounds you like found it last night.

Kim - thanks for the concern. I think the treatments are going well. I joke sometimes but actually I have had minimal symptoms from the chemo therapy. In two weeks I will get another scan to find out how the chemo is working. So, in 2 weeks I will be having scanxiety for for about a week. Please pray or send good wishes. My symptoms seem to be getting better so I hope that is an indication of how well the treatment is working. On the days when the chemo doesn`t have me completely fatigued I feel better than I have in a long time which makes me feel pretty positive but the scan is the ultimate indicator.
Craig - We did close the place down and thanks for the well wishes. I have resolved myself to the fact that the meter is probably ticking but I still have to believe that there is some chance of beating this. It`s not denial. I know the chances are not good but there is always a chance and God is above all this. Of course , I was not considering God`s will when I went on a bender last night but I did have fun. Of course , cancer or not, I guess the meter is ticking for all of us. What a beautiful,uplifting, and joyful thought. }:.}

Oh yes. Big mistake. Drink lots of water and celebrate gently from now on... Well, I don't drink anymore at all. As I aged I started going from sober to hangover with no good times in between, so it was a waste of time & money:-((

....but too bad you have to pay the price today! Good for you though...everyone needs to let loose every once in a while. After all this chemo I want to go out and PARTY my butt off! However, I will probably have one beer and be ready to call it a night. 90 pounds and no drinking since Novemeber...my toloerance may be a little low.
Drink LOTS of water today. Maybe even a few Powerades (sp??)0 -

Here are my 3 "TRUISMS" that I try and life my life by:
1. "The Meter Is Running" - like sand through the hourglass so go the days of our lives.
One way or the other time runs out for all of us whether we're sick or healthy, so Enjoy.
2. "There Is No Luggage Rack on the Hearse" - you can't take it with you so enjoy life when
you can and don't get caught up into too much material objects.
3. "Have IT Spent Before You Get The Bill" - this was says it all, no explanation needed here.
Just thought you would like these...

You were right. I did enjoy the Craig truisms. Will you be my guru?
I feel like I am in AA and you are my sponsor. Next you will be giving me the 12 step program for dealing with cancer.
Love the posts.

I spent plenty of time throughout chemo celebrating the week off - learned something - i plan to have the day after off and not have to work - seems like it takes more out of me than it used to - but i will never learn - I do it anyway.0
