You all may be way ahead of me here and know all about this, but it was news to me, and GOOD news, so I wanted to make sure you saw this article. Someone posted it on the Uterine Cancer Discussion Board, and it contained such hopeful news for breast cancer survivors that I had to pop in and share it with you brave 'Pink Warriors'.

Here's a link to the article discussing PARP inhibitors and the recent study results reported by Robert Bazell, NBC's Chief Science and Health Correspondent:

    question
    Hi
I read that and it sure sounds encouraging. My question is... even if I don't have the disease myself, my sister did and it runs in the family... should I have my daughters test for these genes? Thanks,
    Mike

    testing
Mike it is worth a try to get the insurance companies approvals for the testing. The test runs about 3500.00. So unless you can afford it out of pocket talk to their primary docs about getting it approved.
    Good luck with everything
