Tampa Recommendation
I live in Tampa and was diagnosed on May 11th. While I do not have any information on either of the Dr.'s you are asking about, I would recommend you look into Dr Patel at the Florida Hospital, Global Robotics Institute in Celebration Fl. (West Side of Orlando). He has performed over 3000 rp's. I visited his office last month and was very impressed with Dr Patel, his staff and the facility. Regardless of who you choose, check out his website as it has some very good information.0 -

I have just been diagnosed with PC. I have appointments with both Dr. Pao-Sang and Dr. Patel. I'm interested to know your opinions. I will, of course share mine.0 -

I watched an interesting video of Dr. Patel performing the robotic procedure. At the end he also showed several 'difficult' cases that he had worked on. If I lived in Florida I believe I would consider him for my surgery.
Sorry I don't have the web address but you could probably google it and find the video. Its about a 1 hr video.

I just recently scheduled the Da Vinci with Pow Sang for July 31st. I had a friend who had his operation a few weeks ago and is very satisfied so far. I also have 2 friends of friends who each had the operation with Pow Sang. One traditional about 5 years ago and one robotic about 2 years ago. Both speak very highly of Pow Sang and are doing very well. Hence my also going in his direction.0 -

Right around the corner Larry, it will be here b4 you know it....trust me. Sounds like your doc has all the right numbers...here it is already at the end of June... Had a check up with my Dr today, he said I am moving along faster than he had thought, things are working good. I will be off till Aug 4th tho, heavy lifting is part of my job and he won't let me do any lifting yet... Oh well, work a holic or not, I guess I am stuck on disability for now...

A friend of mine is 3 weeks out of surgery with Pow Sang. He was actually amazed that the Viagra was actually already giving him some sensation. He is down to a pad a day. Everyone is different but it gives me hope... Thanks for your support.0 -

I met him this week (6/29). I was very impressed with him and the facility at Moffit. I have scheduled my surgery with Dr Pow-Sang for Aug 28. I still have an appointment with Dr Patel at Florida hospital in Celebration in July just to get a different perspective. Keep me posted.0 -

There are some new treatments for prostate cancer with some great success stories and the data is looking alot better than the current options available in the US. You should research HIFU (High Intensity Focued Ultrasound)...I think I saw severl HIFU docs in FL...0
