my update wiped out again!
I am on my 23d rad treatment and am burning pretty good, and peeling. DR. told me to leave it open to air and use cornstach at this point! have you head of this? I hope I make it just 5 left and then the boosters.
I hope you are all doing well. I have seen a cute new little face on Re's pic, and Tash looks like she is having fun with her Jamie! no doubt about that! I hear Moopy, Joe, pups and Zanax are on their way. Nancy should be done with rads and Mimi. I want to congratulate them and all others finishing treatments and surgeries. and welcome all new sisters and brothers. I will be trying to catch up ..oh yeah and all of you on trips (kathy, Re Chen) and all others have a wonderful time! I love and miss you all my kindred sisters.
love and hugs, Jackie

Glad that your Jamie is with you now
Do you think we should give the Billings PD a heads up or something? Seriously, I know you've waited for Jamie's arrival a long time. But I think the timing worked out perfectly: she's there with you at just the right time to help you with the tough sledding.
A couple of days ago Moop and I were out around town. We saw in a parking lot a car with a bumper sticker that just said MOM, and the letters were colored in the colors of the rainbow flag. If we knew where to get one, we would send it to you. It's so cool that you and Jamie love each other just the way you are, and that you're together having a blast!
Love,

got it!
Hey Jackie, this one showed up. So happy to hear that you're already on your 23rd treatment. Almost done. I did not peel, but my rad. onc. said to keep the area dry (except for the creams), so maybe that's what the cornstarch does. Yes, I finished my treatment on Friday. Happy to be done for sure. Feeling a little strange about doing nothing now. Sometimes there is fear. But, I will be starting zometa soon, so at least I'll have that.
Keep updating, and have a great time with your Jamie.

Hi,
My rad. onc. told me to
Hi,
My rad. onc. told me to use cornstarch starting today and today was my first one. She said to put it on my bra line and under arm. Also using cream 3 times per day. Hope the burn goes away soon.

Greetings, dear Jackie!
Good to see you here, though sorry for your computer problems. I'm so proud of both you and Jamie for indulging in some Retail Therapy, and hope it's been beneficial! :-)
So glad that Jamie's there with you, because we know how much you've been looking forward to her visit! And little Burkley, too - a bonus, canine companionship! Let's make Burkley an "honorary" member of The Pets of Daft Sods Club, shall we?
Oooh, bummer that you're burning and peeling. Thank goodness on 5 and boosters left to go...
Wishing you, Jamie and Burkley LOTS more fun in the coming days - enjoy!
Kind regards, Susan0 -
Messages gone? hmmm Twilight Zone? lol
Hi Jackie! Sorry about your messages...a computer thief? Inside job? lol Sorry, I don't mean to joke about it, I know that can be very frustrating. I hope you get it resolved soon!
So happy to hear that your daughter Jamie is there and that you two are having so much fun together! That is just what you need!!! Your posts sound happier because of her!
Peeling? Sorry to hear that Jackie. But, only 5 left. How many boosters Jackie? I only burnt close to my collarbone and it really never peeled. I just kept Biafine and Aquaphor on it, even after my rads were done. I think there are other cremes that are stronger. Your radiation oncologist will help you. And, if you feel you need something more, don't be afraid to speak up and insist. And, even when you are done with rads, keep putting aquaphor on yourself. Cuz you are still cooking! ok?
Well, hope you had a great day Jackie! Good to see you posting! Love, Jeanne0 -

And 23 treatments behind you, that is great. I remember looking forward to weekends off of treatment so my skin could heal and have a rest. Enjoy your time with your daughter, so refreshing to spend time with those we love, and put cancer on the back burner~even if only for a day....
