OMG-I just found out through this chat room that I should be on a low-iodine diet. I had no idea.....for 2 years after my surgery, nobody has ever mentioned this to me. I just looked up the comments on this site since I had no clue what low iodine diet was and this site noted, "Sodium in any form is OK, as long as it is not provided as IODIZED salt". OMG-CRAP. I just looked at my salt and it is lite salt-IODIZED! Is this true, should I be on a low iodine diet after my surgeries and RAI in 2007? ****kudos to fintia for informing me****

    No - Your OK
The only time you need to stay on a LID is when you are getting ready to take a dose of RATIOACTIVE IODINE or your doctor tells you otherwise.

Okay, so I do not need to be on a low iodine diet. When I was reading the comments, it noted 1 teaspoon has 400 mg. Crap, I have that everyday. Thanks!
