Oh, man!
Hi John,
I'm sorry to hear it- I am thinking of you and am pulling for you. If nothing else has been gained through going through cancer treatments, it's definitely a "toughening" process. We learn to deal with crappy news and still go on. I've discovered I'm now a lot better at dealing with setbacks or difficult situations in other areas of life now than my husband is or any of my other family members are. Dealing with "the beast" has "helped" me deal with many things in life now. It definitely does suck, though- man, I feel your disappointment and pain, and I'm "kicking cans" for you.
You take care and keep at it- you just never know- you may have a miraculous response to the chemo this time!
Blessings,

You never know, the next or so chemo treatments may work also! keep thinking positive, I know harder said then done, but with bad there's good somewhere! Don't let this news get you down too much, maybe you could always go for a second opinion elsewhere if they think they done all they can??? I know I would! I'm so sorry for this setback, just keep your chin up, and know we're all still here for you! You will still be in my thoughts and prayers!
Hugsss!

Damn it
Sorry John, I really hated to hear your news. I hope you will respond to the chemo and the surgery will be a success. We will all be pulling for you so keep us updated. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Don't give up.
I don't know much about other treatments so I'm not much help. My huband is on FOLFOX + Avastin now. He will have it six months and he says a round is two treatments?? He isn't here now so I can't ask. I'm sure you know more because you have been through so much already. Anyway stay strong and don't give up. Paula G.0 -
Sorry
I am so sorry that you had to recieve this news. I will be praying for you. Hang in there, be tough, have faith in yourself and in your fight!

Oh, John. I'm really, really sorry you got that news. Not what we wanted to hear at all. You seem really positive and strong, and I just pray you'll get through this setback in much better shape than you might be thinking now. Keep us posted on what's going on.
*hugs*

That just sucks! You've fought the good fight before....here you go again. sigh. Live Strong, dear friend.

I know you won't give up hope because in just the short time I have read your posts I hear your strength.
"IT'S NOT THE SIZE OF THE DOG IN THE FIGHT ..... IT'S THE SIZE OF THE FIGHT IN THE DOG"!!!
By the way, my oncologist back in Illinois is working on a clinical trial for stage IV peoples who are not responding to any current chemo's and he said he is having a good success rate. New things are on the horizon.
Take care

I think anything that is resectable still leaves a chance for cure or at least long term remission. I am sorry to hear the news but there is always hope.0 -

Jennie - Considering your state of mind when you began this journey I am glad to see that you are in such a positive frame of mind. Apparently full of vinegar and ready to fight. Don`t use the boxing gloves. Take them off and don`t pull any punches.

John,
So sorry about the news. You are such a fighter and your spirit is strong! It sounds good that everything looks resectable. I'll pray for you. I hope the chemo does turn things around.

John,
You are a fighter and those pesky mets are not going to stop you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you move forward with your gameplan.

John,
I'm sorry that new tumors showed up on your PET. You have always been an inspiration to me. Your fighting attitude reminds me of The Four Agreements, written by don Miguel Ruiz. 1) Be impeccable with your word; 2) Don't take anything personally; 3) Don't make assumptions; and 4) Always do your best.
Together in hope,

Eric touched base when he said my state of mind has changed drastically since I first came on board here. Buzzard said get "pissed" at this disease..... and I did... and it helped. I no longer feel sorry for myself... I thrive off of strength that people like yourself have given me. The knowledge I gain here is pnenominal(sp?) Keep your head up....it will be ok

I'm really sorry to hear your news but you do seem to have a good attitude and that will get you through this. I hope you are seeing the best drs your insurance will allow. There are some clinical trials out there that might work for you. Talk to your dr. Keep fighting and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
