I go tomorrow for chemo round 2...and I am scared! I made through round 1 okay...I was queasy, TIRED and I had bad stomach cramps. Couldn't eat for 2 days.

The issue is I have actually felt good since last Thursday. It has been a long time since I could say that!!! I have been eating and actually driving myself places and shopping. So now I am scared to pieces to go do the chemo again. But I guess it is a necesary (sp?) evil to kill any cell that may be lurking in my body.

I CAN DO THIS!!!!

.....but keep me in your thoughts and prayes that I have minimal side effects.....and the same for everyone else going for chemo.

Linda

    You can do this
and you will do it, and before you know it you will only have a few left, and then the next thing you will know is you will be done and NED....Keep the Faith, be strong (i know easier said then done) but I have been through hell with this and I am getting up each day looking for something positive and focusing on that. I finished my chemo (2nd time around) now just waiting for my PET scan on the 22nd and then the long wait for the results. You are not alone we are all here with you praying for you.....

Keep your chin up hun, it will be over before ya know it..
    God Bless
    Beth

    All the Best
Wishing you all the best. I'm scared too. It is the fear of the unknown. We can get through this. We are all striving for the same goal. Good luck tomorrow.

    You Go Girl!
Linda, you can do this. I can't believe I am finally on my last round. It seems like forever. As my doctor told me, yes, chemo is trying to kill you. But you are stronger and you will get your LIFE back. Keep positive thoughts and deal with the side effects one at a time.

    Many hugs, Vicki

I felt the same way you do.
I felt the same way you do. I would be so tired the week I did my chemo and the week I was off I felt better than I had in years. getting fluids 2 days helped me also vitamin B12 shots. The worst part of chemo for me was the diarea it seemed like I spent most of my time in the bathroom. On the days I could not eat my husband would make me potato soup and I could eat the soup part off of it.hang in there life is worth it. I did 5 rounds and had to stop for surgery. I go to my Dr today to see how many more I have to have. kay

    You're in my thoughts!
It does seem to get harder and harder, doesn't it? I'm going to do my 7th treatment next week, and scared, I seem to be able to taste the medicines more and more with each treatment, but no side effects that I can't tolerate, I take Immodium-AD for the diarhhea, which seems to work pretty good, but wow, they weren't kidding when they said the chemo may get more intense as it goes, I hate being tired once I'm unhooked, but do still bounce back in a few days, where I can drive my girl to her softball games and such, I just drive on the off weeks when I have no chemo, where I'm not so weak. It's getting tiring to me though, You are in my thoughts and prayers, positive vibes coming your way, I hope I can do all these treatments as well, they're getting scary.

    Hugsss!

    So far so good....
I seem to be okay this evening. I just CRAVED chinese food so we picked that up on the way home. Then I reached for a cold drink and AHHH - the Oxy kicked in. It felt like swallowing ice crystals. I feel tired but ansy so I think that is the steriods. Good news is that I am up 5 pounds from my first treatment. Ya! 90 whopping pounds. And my blood work was even better than the first round. It is crazy because the past week I have eaten awful...cheeseburgars and fries and ice cream and then tonight Chinese foods! I feel so guilty eating that stuff, even if I need to gain weight.

I hope everyone else who has treatment this week is doing well also!

    Chinese
I picked some up the other night but I'm not suppose to eat Chinese vegetables because of the ileostomy so I got the chicken and broccoli. Yum was that good. Didn't eat very much today. Just nothing sounds good and when I had a half of a potato I was full. I'm sure tomorrow will be better after my infusion since I don't get the oxy tomorrow only the steroids and leuve (other chemo) and then the fanny pack. I have two days of infusion. Good luck on your weight gain. That will help you.
