NED Report on Six Month Mammo

We have just gotten home from having my first mammogram since completing treatment, and the report was NED. What a relief to hear this, as you are always on guard about aches and pains, and things that just "don't seem right" after going through chemo/rads. I am going to celebrate, and wanted everyone to know how wonderful this news feels. If I could only pass this along to everyone on this board to hear the same words, that would be my ultimate wish.     Hooray for NED and another milestone! I know you're relieved. I'm on your footsteps with my first mammogram one week from today...also 6 months post treatment. Was it the usual mammogram and who gave you the results - radiologist or oncologist? Just curious and a little anxious.

    Thanks for all of the good thoughts....even a little milestone is worth celebrating.

    Derby, the mammo was a little more intense than a normal one, as they took six different "pictures" of just the affected breast. the results were given to me immediately by the technician, after the radiologist review the film. No wait time....what a wonderful thing. You will do fine. I will have you in my thoughts. Hugs.

    Isn't NED wonderful. Congratulations. What a great feeling and thanks for letting us know. You mentioned that you were coming up on this anniversary in a previous post and I was wondering how you did. You go, girl!!!!!

    I once mentioned to KathiM, many moons ago, that if I were clever and talented I would design and create a NED doll that we all could hold close to our hearts and keep forever. Alas, I'm not clever nor am I talented, so I guess another Yippee and a big cyber hug will have to do.
