Spread to lung?
I can't stop crying. The doctor finally called, and they are going to do a procedure to determine if the fluid on my lung could indicate the cancer has spread there. I can't even have the procedure until next Wednesday. We're supposed to go to my daughter's for supper tonight, but I'm not sure I can face my granddaughter. It's possible this is not cancer, but I'm afraid to even hope for good news. How do you get through the setbacks?
Prayers, Karen

Hi Karen, I too can relate what you are going through but your a strong warrior and will get pass this. Keeping a good positive attitude and having a lot of faith is what has helped me. I don't call them setbacks anymore just it's just a little bump in the road. I will be praying for you that it is not cancer. Enjoy your family and live in the moment.

Hi Karen:
I agree with Terry. Go to you family dinner tonight and enjoy your family. I've found that "not thinking" about it helps. I know it's easier said than done, but you can do it. Revel in the love and presence of your family. These moments are wonderful and can be inspiring.
Sending warm, strong, positive thoughts your way,

Please go to your family, actually it's almost 7:30 and I hope you're there having a wonderful time, and not thinking about the procedure next Wednesday.
Diversion when we're frightened is so important, for me it's cooking to occupy my mind when I'm scared!
As you know from experience, and reading the boards, very often we worry our selves sick, and then get good news!
I truly hope that is the case with you.
Feel good, and take it one day at a time, and one step at a time.

Hi ladies, thanks so much for responding. I did go to my daughter's, and it was good for me. I'm back on top of things more today. I am going to try to keep as busy as possible this next week to keep my mind off the upcoming test. Reading about the strength, faith, and hope you ladies have helps me keep everything in perspective. Thanks so much, K0 -
Just a test
I try to look at situations like yours as just another test. It could be positive or negative and until the results are in there is nothing you can do to change the results of this test. You can, however, make a choice to enjoy every minute you can with your family and create happy memories. How I envy you being close enough to have dinner with your children. Mine all live in other states and countries. Focus on counting your blessings and remember that FEAR is "false events appearing real". (((Hugs and Prayers)))

Dearest Karen,
I am so sad to read your latest post. I am a bit behind so thinking you maybe had the fluid tested already. Please post an update and know along with everyone else I am praying for you. I know by now your tears have cleansed your soul and you are ready for whatever lies ahead of you. Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie0 -
WAITING
Karen:
So glad you could find some peace and enjoy your dinner. As everyone else has said, we definitely need to live moment by moment. I know this is distressing for you, but stay strong and have faith. Whatever the outcome, you will get through this. And if we don't enjoy the moments of our lives, then we are not really 'living'. Each day is precious.
Sending lots of luv and hugs. And we'll be waiting to here the results on your test.
