Today, our dear Moopy (with Aortus in tow, of course) is in St. Louis for her rads simulation. We know it's been an awfully long haul for her to finally get to this important point, with a few unfortunate curveballs along the way.

So, heartfelt best wishes for Moopy! While also hoping for NO MORE curveballs! :-)

Kind regards, Susan

Moopy I'll be anxious to hear about your trip to the radiation oncologist and your "rads simulation." I've never heard that term.

I go tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) for my "mapping" ... so is that the same as the simulation?

    Thinking of you ...

    hugs.

    Good luck to Moopy!
I'm hoping for a smooth simulation and an easy time of it in general. Once you get started, it will wiz by. Let us know how everything went as soon as you can, dear Moopy.

    Good Luck Moopy! (and Joe)
isn't it Joe on the way to St Louis with Moopy in tow?? He He. OK, Moopy, the beginning has to start so we can get to the end. I know you will sail through this is high spirits with your man at your side. What a great support you have there, use him and abuse him all you can (I think he likes the abuse). Let us know how it's going when you have a chance!

    Moopy!!!!!!!!
Hi Moopy! So, you have left us for rads simulation huh? I hope that your tatoos's don't hurt. Believe it or not, those stupid little minature tattoos really hurt me. lol I don't know how anyone gets a BIG one by choice. ( shudders ) Anyway, you will do fine. This is the first step and you will get thru it as you will all of the rad treatments. Don't be scared Moopy. You went thru chemo, so, this will be easy for you. The rads will tire you out, so, get lots of rest. I became known for lots of naps..lol ( still do haha ) And, USE YOUR CREAMS! Lots of them when you are done with the treatment for the day. I started using aquaphor from the very first one, even if I didn't need it because I wanted my skin to be ok. And now, my skin is like a baby's behind. :) I used Biafine for the lil burn that I got, which took care of that. But, check with your own radiation oncologist and see what they recommend. Well, good luck to you sweetie! I will be thinking of you! Keep in touch please! And, hi Joe! ;) Love, Jeanne

Sisters Once More to the Rescue
I was sitting in the big hospital waiting room, scared all over again, just like Jackie thought. I was on the verge of a panic attack. But that husband of mine pulled up the board and starting reading aloud to me. It was Susan's post and your replies. I felt myself suddenly smiling and calming down.

Later, lying half-naked and cold on the MRI table, bald and scarred, I wanted to cry. But I remembered you all, and again you were with me, and I felt comforted. And tonight, I find more loving and caring messages. I shouldn't have been so scared, but I was. Finding you all with me and waiting for me was a blessing from God. (with an assist from Susan, Christmas Girl indeed)

I will reply more tomorrow but could not sleep without letting you know how grateful I am, and Joe, too. Taleena, I pray also that you are resting well after your surgery.

    Love, Moopy
