OH-OH
I won't even start treatments if that is the case, I'd rather die than give up my very last "VICE"!
What is the sense in living if you have nothing left to give you comfort. No caffeine, no tabacco, no fats, no alcohol... yada, yada, yada0 -
Ask your Dr.
As with everything else, your Dr. is your best source of info. But...I have heard this, along with the idea that cancer feeds off fat. I believe being overweight is one of the factors that can increase the risk of getting cancer, and eating too much fat and sugar increase the risk of being overweight. My personal approach is...all things in moderation. I do try to eat more veggies and less food that has obvious fat or sugar, and less "white food" (high carb), and I do intend to get closer to my ideal weight. However, I am determined not to live in fear and misery. Therefore, if I have a day (or a few days) where I "fall off the wagon", I just start over again the next day and try to do better.
Live as well as you can for as long as you can. seof0 -
Sugar
I asked my oncologist about that the first day I met him. He says that is a myth. He did say, however, that sugar isn't good for you when you are well, so it certainly isn't good for you when you have cancer. Common sense. So, excuse me while I go run and eat my Dove chocolate bar. Sometimes a gal has to do what a gal has to do.0 -

If that is the case, then Ben & Jerry will go out of business without me. Never mind surgeon and oncologist, it's B&J who are getting me through this!

I have heard this but it was phrased to attack my situation....Alcohol should not be consumed (this is because it contains.......sugar)... I thought, "Oh Sod It, I'm not drinking it for the sugar content!"
Kylez is so totally right.. everything is carcenogenic according to the internet these days. Red meat, engine oil, petrol(gas),Lettuce, soy products, salt, sugar, alcohol, ciggies, pepper, most pills, reading dirty magazines, all antidepressents, anything you enjoy, dog ownership, cat ownership, guppy ownership, wearing turquoise.........LIVING!
Ask your onco for a shorter list. Good luck Hugs Jxxxxxxxxx0
