Surgery is on.....
I have to be at AGH outpatient by 7:00A.M. tomorrow.
Needle localization is sceduled for 8:30A.M.
Surgery is scheduled for 10:30A.M.
Champaign uncorking, my house, 6:00P.M.!!!!! Everyone invited!!!
They said yes to the xanax !!! Wooo hooo....I'm living it up now!!!

Don't worry about the needle localization......I worried myself sick about that part, more so than the surgery itself........It wasn't much at all, I swear! Make sure they numb it first, I'm sure they will, and then you just feel a slight pressure ........they"ll "mammo" it to make sure it is placed correctly and you're good to go!

You'll do just fine. The needle localization isn't bad (they numbed my boob before) ... and then after they finished inserting the wire ... they gave me a very gentle mammogram to be sure everything was in the right place ...and they told me not to look at the wire (even though it had a bandage over it). Guess they knew I was a weenie and figured if I looked at it I'd freak out ... and I probably would have.
I had my needle localization at one center and then had to go to the hospital for the lumpectomy. As the nurse was putting the bandage on ... she was telling me how ... not too long ago they didn't cover the wire with a bandage ... they used a paper cup! Can you imagine? It was embarrassing enough trapesing around from the center to the hospital in one of those darling hospital gowns ... but I can't imagine doing it with a paper cup sticking out of your boob.
Anyway ... you'll do just fine ... and no doubt have your own story to tell when it's over. And we want to hear your story. Let us know how you're doing.

You betcha!! As soon as I am up to it, I will definitly devulge all the details of my story!! Only I maintain the copywrite to the book!! However, I will need to hire a writer.....

I had the paper cup last week , so they are still doing this. Yes I looked goofy. Like 3 boobs. Yes kinda embarrassing,but went right from there to the surgery area.0 -

As you can see....I will be up all night (repeat of Monday). I will hop in shower about in 3 more hours. This will most definitly include shampoo, condition, bodywash, shaving, trimming toenails, plucking eyebrows, brushing teeth, flossing, trim any noticable nose hairs, ear hairs, chest hair, filing nails (ok...maybe not all of these things...I flossed yesterday, I can probably skip that part!!). I think I mostly do all this to get thru the evening. Not buying that huh? OK.....shhhhh.....don't tell hubby....but I saw a couple really HOT dudes running around that hospital and you never know if one of them will be the one covering my naked body with that nice warm blanket.....now, which victoria's secret scent should I wear? So.....who do you think is stranger (he,he)? Glad you made it!!! Pammy 0
