No surprise
Herbs are drugs too. That's why it's important I think to have someone who knows about this type of stuff guide you. People can OD on things like OJ even. Uranium-235 is natural too, so it tobacco. I think it's common sense. Chemo can also kill you that's why we let people who know what they are doing administer it. I guess it shows that a little information can be harmful.
Thanks for posting though Nudgie. Some people think it's all or nothing, I think the two can possibly help each other. My Onc warned me about supplements, I think they do not know all of the potential side effects or interactions in the drugs.

Sad Story
I read an article in the Columbus Ohio Dispatch this morning
(Associated Press article) about a woman in Tampa Florida
who chose a natural cure with herbs and supplements instead
of traditional chemo/surgery and is dying a horrible death
from rectal cancer......it talked about the vast amounts
of money spent on herbs and supplements with no
successful results but it did support some herbs and
supplements for control of chemo side effects; also mentioned
how some vitamins can interrupt the effectiveness of chemo...
sad story....

.....said she'd rather me not take any kind of supplements or herbs. She doesn't mind me drinking my herbal teas, I do enjoy those, but when it comes to chemo, she said she'd rather me just drink some milk for the protein, take a multivitamin, and take B complex.0
