Thank you, just for being YOU! You are Great, I wish I lived Nearer!
Neighbours!
Kat. It's very depressing when you get to grips with it. But WE are doing the best we can........aren't we?
Please dont let the statistics bring you low..........We are doing all we can to beat the odds........been through the worst of it and getting towards our new normal.......My New Normal is actually my OLD Normal.......
Part of Normal is depression........get pills, I did, I was suicidal.....don't get that low before you give in to the 'Happy Pills'... I was so reluctant, I was nearly too late.
Police and paramedics here at 11pm ......shame or what?
My thoughts are with you..........Huge Hugs J0 -

One of my doctors told me that the next time I visit a mall, look at the women there. She said that 1 out of every 8 women has been touched/will be touched by breast cancer. 1 out of every 8! She also said that 80% of the breast cancers diagnosed, there was no prior family history.
You are right. It IS an epidemic! And not just breast cancer. All cancers.
But there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many long term survivors out there! They are making such strides in research and in treatments.
Me, I am going to do my utmost to remain optimistic about my future.
And having said all that, I agree, it is so normal to be down. Again, the roller coaster ride. The good news is that you will be heading up again in no time!
Love ya!

Just to cheer you up!!
OK.....You are definitly making me resort to drastic measures Kat! Here goes.....
Picture this, if you will.....
I am totally naked except for a pink tootoo and I am dancing a "cheer you up" dance. Except now my husband is chasing me all over the place thinking this is for him and I'm trying to explain it was really meant for someone named "kat"!!
NOW he is chasing the "cat" trying to get her out of the house feeling a bit jealous!!
And......you thought you were having a bad day!! Pammy0 -

Kat, the pain you are
Kat, the pain you are experiencing is normal. Not only did they remove lymph nodes, but they moved muscle and nerves to get to them so you may be sore for about 2 weeks. Keep taking the pain meds you should feel better by the end of the week. Hugs, Lili0 -

Our wise Cindy's/CR's statistics are accurate. Not too long ago, I had the same feelings you wrote of - so many new members equals so many more diagnosed. But, a good friend from the site here lifted my sadness by reminding me of everything already written about in this thread... More awareness, earlier detections, sooner and better treatments, all equal more lives saved.
In just a few months, I'll be able to call myself a six year survivor. There are many members of our group much longer term than that.
Kind regards, Susan0 -
