Well ladies, I had it...the whole wonderful day at the spa. For those of you what missed Part I, my 20 year old daughter entered a contest to write an essay about your mom and hers won!! The prize was a full day of pampering. Starting at 9 am with a full body massage, followed by facial, and an herbal body wrap with steam shower. All that pampering makes one hungry so a spa lunch from an incredible Italian restaurant with a fresh roasted beggie sald, burshetta and home made cannolies was brought in. My daugher joined me for the lunch and the day was completed with her getting a facial while I continued on with a manicure, pedicure and freshly applied make-up. It was 3:30 befoe I knew it. Good thing she drove because my body had no ability to function other than go shopping! It was the most incredible girl day, the most amazing mother/daughter day!! So many people have asked me what her essay said and I honestly dont' know. I told her I didn't want to read it as the thought she would even take the time to write something is all I need to know. I'm still crying. To be so pampered and to be so loved....I had the best night sleep that needed no alcohol or drugs to induce. Did I mention that my husband and son have also been away all weekend. Love them to pieces but this was the best girl time only!! From one girl to another.....take girl time!!!

    Awww, what a wonderful day!!!!!!
Oh, please take me with you next time!! Sounds like just the ticket...to kick back and relax! And Italian food too! My favorite!!

I agree that daughters are awesome!! Mine has been with me every step of this journey. She has dried my tears, she has made me laugh, she has given me strength.
On my last day of rads, after having made it through the tests and the surgery and the chemo, my daughter looked me in the eye and said...Mom, you're my hero. I cried.
    She is the real hero.........

    Great job!
Dawn ... you must be so proud of your daughter. You must have done a wonderful job raising her. I know you don't want to know what she wrote ... but I'd love to hear her words and what she has to say about her wonderful mother.

Like Kat ... I don't have a daughter ... but I have a terrific son and the most wonderful daughter-in-law in the world.

Reading about your relaxing day at the spa actually made me feel more relaxed.

    hugs.

Oh my~ that sounds like the Best Day Ever!! I remember you writing about the essay your daughter wrote, and how touched you were by her obvious love for you. Makes me wish I had children, and especially a daughter! My niece (24 yrs old) who I had the pleasure of raising, is like a daughter to me, and we do as many things together as we can. She got me a To My Aunt Mother's Day card...sweet!

I smiled thinking about your wonderful day~ you deserved it for raising such an amazing young lady! Congratulations!!!

    Hugs Claudia
