Hey everyone.....well in 3 hours I will be on my way to pittsburg for my scan. I have drank so much water I feel like I could just float there!! And I am starving!!! I am getting very anxious on wanting to pass this so we can continue with surgery Wednesday. Hubby is sleeping as he will be doing the driving and I will be zooned out on xanax to get through it. Not worried about the procedure itself, just thought it would be easier for me to stay up all night, take xanax before we leave, and hopefully just chill out like they want me to for the 2 hours it will take for the radioactive stuff to do it's thing. I wonder if I will actually "glow" when they are done? Well, I don't know yet if I will find out right away about the results but I hope they do not keep me in suspension too long. I'm also anxious because my son is taking his LSAT test today for law school (he will be in pittsburg also). I know this has been hard on him and I just hope it has not effected his ability to past the test. He is hoping for a 161 and I told him that means he will get a 163. I hope he does. In any case, I will post as soon as I get back. Say a BUNCH of prayers that it has not gone into my bone. Thanks for being there for me....
Love, Pammy

I thought about you all
I thought about you all night. I hope that your scan results are excellent. My arm really hurt before my diagnosis. I was terrified that bc went to the bone because something the dr. who did my biospy said. It turned out fine. I received my results fairly quickly maybe in a day or two when I saw Dr. J.0 -
Many Prayers
I will be praying for you and good test results, Pammy, and so will many others. The zanax will really help get you through the test. I took some before my test last week. I hope you find out the results soon and then celebrate. Please keep in touch.
Good luck also to your son and the LSAT!0 -
I've had a few....
Sorry for the late post...tomorrow is 'move day', and we STILL don't have everything packed....
Anyway, I have had 2 (or was it 3) PET scans. And too many CT scans to count. Back in MY day (lol-4 years ago) they were just starting the combo PET/CT...GREAT idea!. I slept thru most of them. I have one suggestion, now that you are home....make sure to drink plenty of water to flush the contrast out.
As you now know, you do not glow...teehee...wish I could have, I would make myself my own reading light in bed!!!!
I know these tests are scary, and wish the best outcome for you. But, that said, I would MUCH rather know my enemy completely, so I know how to fight...don't you? Sure, it was sad the day my breast 'lit up' when they were searching for where my rectal cancer had gone...I cried, in fact. But regardless of the test...it was there...so I was glad to know where to draw my battle lines...
We are all here for you, dearheart...please keep us posted...I will be better after the move Tuesday!!!
Hugs, Kathi0 -
Pammy - Hoping...
... for the best possible outcome.
Kind regards, Susan0
