Good luck!
Hey Denise. Good luck with the colonoscopy on Tuesday! I think your prep will make the difference in how your bowels handle things. At any rate, it will clean you out & you can start back eating healthy when you break your fast. I'll be thinking about you on Tuesday!

Good luck with that prep! woohooo girl, they didn't give me any sort of laxatives for my prep, but I had to drink a gallon of something called "Golightly" I think it was...pineapple flavored, (though it didn't matter what flavor it was, it still tasted horrible). It was this thick-texured kind of drink that I had to drink within a couple hours, and you live on the throne of the bathroom for the next hours! You can't eat or drink anything but that, and it cleans you out till you are actually clear, even out of the bottom there, it will be clear, so that you have a nice, shiny, clean colon for the colonoscopy...just bring some word hunts or sudoko or something with you to sit on the potty with, since you'll be there for awhile
Hope everything comes out clean though!

I had my first colonoscopy
I had my first colonoscopy "post everything" yesterday - all clear except for some internal/external hemorrhoids!! I can LIVE with those!!! Prep was as yucky as I remember but didn't seem near the inconvience that it did last time when the cancer was found. Me and the doctor had a smiling contest when it was all over - I almost think he won!! He was the doctor that found my tumor last year. Hope your colonoscopy Tuesday is cause for smiles for you.0 -
Thanks
Thanks all for the words of encouragement. I'm off to target this morning to get my dulcolax and magnesium citrate ready for tomorrow. How come when you know you can't eat too much, you wake up starving?
I'll let you know how it "goes" tuesday.
Hugs,

Isn't that great??? I was declared NED last Thursday (6/4/09) and my doctor also was all smiles. He's the best...he cries with me when i am struggling and cheers when it's good news. gotta love him!

You will be fine...and I have the same problem with waking up hungry before each procedure. Just plan on having a huge meal when you are done!
Many hugs, Vicki0
