I had my 7th treatment yesterday and took my nausea pills right after chemo. I automatically noticed the cold sensitibity while in the fridge, and my throat tightens up when I drink anything above room temperture. My legs started the achyness and uncomfortness right before bed time so I said heck with it, took a sleeping pill and an vicodin, finish watching my movie and wet to bed. Slept well. Woke up and seemed to keep forgetting my buddy, unti it fell to the floor several times, finlly put the fanny belt on.

I go in for my second treatment today; they will add Avastin to the mix.

Chin up! On Saturday I have my Nana's 99 birthday party to go to, hope I have more energy then she does!

Hugs!

    Day Two
I was wrong about the Avastin that's next time around. What was strange is that I was put on the louverin by drip and then given the FU by syringe, then finished the Louverin (I know I sp wrong!). I always got the FU by drip, I asked the nurse and she said :this is how we did it n the old days"....not sure if I liked that answer, or if it really matters.

They also used a different needle on my port that sticks about 1/2 and inch, is is terrible and hurts when I lift my arm. I mentioned it to the nurse and she said that those are the new needles comming in, but that I should as for the flat needle. I will sure do that, through my shirt, it looks like I have a nice size nipple growing on my upper chest! lol

I think I will ask for infusion room 4, I like it better then 2.

    Thanks Ladies!

    5FU by bolus
    Hi NanaB

I get my 5FU bolus (injection into the tube) as well. It is a more concentrated dose that I get 5 days in a row, with the steroid and allergy drip before and the saline drip after. I, also, have trouble with the longer needles, so the nurses use a child size on me...it works!

    Hang in there! Vicki
