Well, I went to the Terms we all "agreed" to when we joined CSN...and if you scroll way down, you will see that the ACS has the right ( approved by us) to remove anything deemed racist, obscene, rude, or otherwise offensive. Sadly, Tasha, I believe your church window was offensive to the powers that be, even if most of us found it funny....

It is a better safe than sorry policy~ this is, afterall an International site, with myriad people and sensitivities.

Hugs,
Claudia

A lot of flowers got deleted
A lot of flowers got deleted too so maybe it is a glitch. I'm sure no one would find them offensive.

I think you were right, Claudia.
I'm not offended by the "stained glass" picture - I've had it on my hard drive for years. But I can see how someone else might have been offended. And if enough people were offended, I can see where CSN might feel compelled to act. As you point out, the CSN "Terms of Service" reserves a lot of rights for the providers of this service.

I personally think that cutting off the ability to post pictures is overreacting. But that's just my opinion. As the home plate umpire said to the batter who asked him whether the last pitch was a ball or a strike: "It ain't anything until I say it is."

    So, that stained glass
So, that stained glass picture made them take them away? That doesn't seem fair. I think most, if not everyone, enjoyed the colorful pics and laughed at the funny ones. It is good to laugh when you have cancer, isn't it? Maybe they will tell us what happened.

    ? for Aortus/Joe...
Since you seem to have the most technologically advanced computer skills amongst the group...

Could it also be a "space" (i.e., memory) issue for the site? As dumb as I am about computers - I do know that pictures and moving animations take up a lot more space vs. text. Over the last several weeks, I've noticed that it took longer to get on and off the board, on and off threads, post comments, etc. ... I was thinking it was my OWN computer slowing down (as in: what's wrong with it NOW?). However, I'm beginning to wonder if the BC board/site itself was becoming bogged down.

    Kind regards, Susan

Hey Susan, not that I know
Hey Susan, not that I know for sure, but, the only thing that was slowing my computer down was the huge pictures that just got posted like this week or the videos. I know my computer is slow, but, it got slower with those on here. And, it shouldn't be a matter of copyright laws, no offense CSN, because those can't be copied, not at all! So, I think we are not getting the true story here, but, oh well. It helped us bc survivors to smile a lil bit more. Sad that we will lose that now too.

    Well....
my experience with the CSN powers that be, "BIG SISTER" perhaps, is that they never divulge why they do what they do (remember all the brewhaha about "Megan"????)

I thought the stained glass picture was hysterical and quite timely, given all the news of late about Ireland's sad church legacy, not to mention the ongoing "discoveries" of pedophiles and their victims in the Catholic church.

So, all I can say is, "Double BUGGER!!!!!!!!!"

I agree with Kristin: we need all the humor we can get, da** it!

    Solution....
....maybe we can all learn how to use our keyboards to "draw" pictures with our post. I've gotten them in e-mails but always wondered how people did it. Sort of like counted cross-stitch? :) Pammy
