Deanna
Deanna-I don't know if I spelled it correctly, but "AAARGH!" is the sound that came out of my mouth when I read your post.
Nothing goes as planned with cancer treatment- I wish I had something wise to say- yes you will get through this, and yes this will be a mere memory but yes this is lousy and I am so sorry. Barb0 -
ditto on the ARGH!!! ((((Deanna)))))
Platelets were usually what caused my chemo delays too. I can well imagine your frustration and disappointment; I'm so so sorry that your patience is being so tested. But I know you'll dig deep and give a big sigh, and you'll wait. NEXT week; I KNOW it'll be NEXT week!
It seems so endless when the end is in sight and you're trying to be patient with your body. My internal brachy will be the same kind you had, 1 week apart, so my 'end date' is now July 1.0 -

July 1st will be here before you know it!
I'm feeling it too... next week is my week. Wednesday I will get my final chemo treatment and the following Sunday I will turn 40. WooHoo! I think when this is done we are going to have a big BBQ celebration at the park in our town.
It's all good... the Lord knows better what I need right now so I wait on Him!0 -

I am so sorry you could not get chemo #6. I know how you want everything to be over. I pray that you can have a good 40th birthday celebration and have all of your treatment completed. Hang in there. Be careful too with your low platelet count. HUGS to you.0 -

Sorry that you have to go through all of the waiting. You're in my prayers.
Seems we are both hitting big birthday marks this year, I will be 50 in Nov. So I know you will celebrate 40 in a way that no one but us survivors can understand!

Most of my friends are freaking out about turning 40. They have no idea and I am so excited to be turning 40 and will feel even more grateful at 50! Each birthday is a blessing!0 -

I agree that patience has been my biggest challenge on this journey - well maybe next to faith. But hang in there - and you have. I like your attitude. Who would have thought that we are actually looking forward to CHEMO - how crazy is this????!!!!
Hugs. Keep smiling. Mary Ann0 -

I will turn 40 next Sunday and I am excited about it. Hopefully I will get my 6th and final chemo on Wednesday. Then start a new decade in my life on Sunday. Sounds like an excellent plan doesn't it?! Every day, every week, every month, every year is a gift to be used wisely. So, no black balloons for my 40th birthday... I want to celebrate!0 -

I hope you are celebrating the end of treatment as well as your birthday. Deanna I just realized that your 40th birthday is my 40th wedding anniversary. I will be celebrating 40 years of marriage to my wonderful husband. I don't know what I would have done without him through all of this. I have been blessed. Hope you are feeling up to celebrating after you get this 6th chemo -----power of positive thinking. You will remain in my prayers that all lab work is good. HUGS to you.0 -

Happy Anniversary! I am feeling much stronger and anticipate a treatment on Wednesday. I think we are going to spend the weekend at my folks on the lake. I will be able to celebrate the end of chemo, my birthday and relax while enjoying the company of my family. I know what you mean... I don't know what I would have done without my husband through all of this either. I thank God for him. Thanks for the prayers. Hugs back to you.0 -

Hey Marge, it gets better. I actually think my brain is working better one year later. I think the cancer helped me get rid of a lot of stuff in my life that was just using up my brain. One good thing that comes out of all this is you definitely start prioritizing and can focus on more of the good stuff.Barb0
