    Jackie, don't cry please! I know that isn't the best news but you can get thru this. And, I don't know why you still couldn't work at your job. There has to be a way around that. I was hoping that radiation would so easy on you but this was an unexpected splinter in it. I am sure it will work out Jackie, keep your chin up!

So sorry you have had so much trouble with the lymphedema, they did tell me it is something I would need to worry about the rest of my life. Thank God, so far (two years from surgery), nothing has happened. I did get 3 fingers swell up, but they think that might be the Arimidex. So now we all know, you are the "go-to girl" for any questions on this and having fun with the grandsons!

    Cat, I originally had 6 infusions and 6 weeks of rad, it came back in 6 months and had spread so I was stage 4. I then had 18 more potent infusions and 10 more weeks of rads. It stayed gone for 9 years, then returned in the other breast stage 2 which after mastectomy required 4 more infusions and I am happy to say I am currently NED (no evidence of disease). It is not the norm to get that many rads but I wanted the most aggressive treatment which is why I had an additional ten weeks.

    RE, that is crazy, well at least it did the trick, but I guess your skin is pretty much beat up with all that.

    I have a question if you don't mind me asking...did you discover the lymph on your own?
    and if so, what type of signs did you have? I have this knot or bump on my arm. Now it is starting to hurt and my right hand is swelling (bc) side...I mentioned it to my onco and he first said, it might be an infection, and they will keep an eye on it.

    Sorry for the many questions, but I am getting concerned. I unload our grocery truck, and lift 30 packs of beer...
